Besides being EuroCanards / Deltas, they are vastly different.
Propeller engines, idealy 2. Nice Black Nightfighter camoflage. 3-4 Proppeller blades.
Inverted V-12 or so engines.
The general shape looks very similar.
Big or slim nose?
hmmm, big. Idealy with internal armor plating, and enove space to house an array of central armarments, cannons and Mgs.
I mean, then a BF109 and a FW190 are basically the same plane, right?
They aren’t, though for someone not used to seeing them I can see the resemblance of the two delta wing canard aircraft.
Here’s a few comparisons:
Spoiler
Rafale top, Eurofighter bottom

Rafale top, Eurofighter bottom

No, one is small and has an Inverted V, while the FW is bigger and has a Radial engine.
These 2 look similar, duo to overall the same designe, D wing, the little mini wings in front, same wing ends, similar nose and canope.
So something like the mosquito then?
yeah or something like the Do 217 J or N
A man of great taste I see
I’m a simple man just give me mig 25 pd
That’s why France dropped out of the Eurofighter consortium. They knew that German influence would result in the end product being too ugly.
j/k, but the Rafale is the better-looking jet.
I want to be upset, but the Rafale is just too beautiful to disagree…
Why they didn’t upgrade the main gun?
It just looks like an obese Gripen, at least the EF tries to look unique, although it just looks “odd” because of it.
For this specific one idk. The new gun came along with the T-55M6 version that Battlerog posted.
SPHINX (2010) developed by Panhard and CMI as a proposal for the EBRC program which could relatively quickly enter service:
The SPHINX chassis developed by Panhard is functional whilst the turret is a mock-up of the existing Cockerill Medium Calibre Turret:
- Weight: 17t
- Engine power: 600hp
- CTAS 40 autocannon (250 round ready rack)
- Gun elevation: -20° to +60°
- 3rd generation commander and gunner thermals

Iraqi SPAA based on T-55 tank. The gun looks a lot like Type 59/S-60 57mm gun
Split the vehicle into production and prototype. Same thing should happen to the T-80U. UM with Agava and U without.
