An unfinished prototype isn’t just picking and choosing existing stuff from elsewhere, it requires vehicle specific parts.
Just because I make a fictional tank with a Leopard 2 engine and gun doesn’t make it real. But if I design a new engine for that tank and that is built, then it’s an unfinished prototype.

Good thing you said that. IS-6 in game is nothing like the one IRL. The entire turret is incorrect, the chassis is incorrect, didn’t use that gun, didn’t use that engine with that transmission on that platform.
It’s based totally off the Mock up armor/visual wise, yet uses the transmission of an IRL variant. The tank in game doesn’t exist. But well its parts did. In fact you can argue less of the IS-6 in game existed IRL than the Tiger II 10.5cm (I don’t even like the depiction because the breech clips the range finder). But again. Semantics.
My issue with the 10.5cm is practicality. Same with the IS-6 which should have 0 gun depression… Along with a few other issues. It all doesn’t make sense.
There is an inconsistency in implementation of vehicles in game.

It was really cool, you know, when they would let us choose our own equipment, so that such machines would appear and there would be an opportunity to take them into battle.
The same humvees, tigers, MaxxPro for Britain and so on. It is even possible to create a separate research branch for them in the future interface of the infantry main menu or in the regular research branch, because there are a lot of such vehicles.

Infantry is still in development but a infantry only vehicle tree with APC and stuff would be nice though you should not need to unlock things like engine components as most APC don’t have a way to earn points efficiently. Should be treated like equipment.
mrap vehicles have so many prototypes from companies in the west as the whole war on terror was running into IEDs and landmines. Humvee could not survive these devices let alone today drones (mrap cant survive drone much better) South Africa kind of invented the mrap after the apartheid government fell many nation would “buy and test” these vehicles. USA and China being confirmed.
These monster trucks would be awesome to see though some could equip ATGMs

Why? We have far better suited vehicles from the US for infantry than something that will hurt the teams more. Maybe for a event and not permanent but this honestly has no place

Still a family SUV that has been weaponized is just cool they also jacked the engine so you can go really fast :-)
Remember its the rule of cool! Also miniguns in infantry is going to bring the pain train.

My joke is with the dillion tactical vehicle you can role play in infantry as cyberpunk corporate security you just need some back tie suit sun glasses infantry skin and your good to go + bullpup rifles.
