We will have to see if this is true but if so it would be Japans first ram jet AAM tho most likely against awacs etc.

The ASM-3 series uses an inertial/GPS guidance system for the mid-stage and an active/passive radar combined guidance system for the terminal stage, but it will be possible to use it as an air-to-air missile simply by modifying the program.”

Yeah f-2 is the only ASM-3 carrier so far tho apparently F-15JSI has the potential to get it
