Tank was presumably obtained from the French, but was modified by German companies for general export. It was tested in Saudi Arabia (which is why photos show it with desert paint job), but I don’t think it was built specifically for them.

Wasn’t to my understanding built for any nation just as a general export vehicle like Clovis or df105
I figured, and didn’t see any evidence to the contrary. But I know German companies do have a history of purpose-building export vehicles for Middle Eastern/North African countries, such as with the Diehl BMP-3 for the UAE or the Jung Jungenthal T-55 for Egypt, hence why I brought that up, because at least I am uninterested in seeing them in the German tree.

I humbly disagree but not because I have anything against the Germans, I just want vehicles to go to intended recipients rather than constructers and testers that never would have adopted them otherwise.
The nations that were the recipients aren’t in the game leaving the upgrades to Germany. And diehls bmp3 in particular needed a whole new chassis what imo makes a even fairer argument for Germany
I’d rather just wait until UAE gets added honestly, it’s not like Germany is struggling for IFVs currently nor are there any lack of ones to add.

Apart from German ifvs in the case of the puma and other high tier ifvs are barely useable. Having a fast bmp3 that’s unique to Germany would benefit alot imo as a event

They were never. Unless they brought the upgrade but it wasn’t marketed to them
I don’t feel it’s necessary, I mean, any of the 30mm Marder prototypes would probably do wonders for variety, then you have the 50mm Marder II, 25mm Marder, 35mm Begleitpanzer, 20mm M113s, 25mm M113, etc.

We were talking about the Diehl BMP-3. I don’t support Super AMX-30 for the French.
All likely be way lower br as diehls bmp3 would probably sit at like 10.7
50mm Marder 2 is the only one that could probably be close to it’s br but again its less mobile has no atgms

Diehls bmp3 to put it basic was Diehl making a new uparmoured chassis putting the turret to the back adding the boxers engine (830hp) and changing the crew compartment
