That’s up to the developers to get right. Played the PT-76B with HEAT yesterday and was disappointed.
That HEAT-FS
Depends on the HEAT, high caliber more so than low caliber
By nations who either boosted their numbers ussr or in the american case the m4a3E8 was just the most reliable option until m47 so yes they were used limited but most of them were from nations like Syria who couldn’t afford to buy new tanks.
And you’ve completely misunderstood what I’ve said it’s not a problem to gajin but it should be. WW2 tanks shouldn’t be facing heatfs tanks of the early cold war or even late cold war in some cases
Can be good depends on the ammo selection and the tank something like the pt76 that guy mentioned is better with Aphe this even goes as far as the t55s and such the Aphe is just better in game
He calls HEAT-FS as Heat, so I was confused because Heat isn’t exactly a game changer
Similar HEAT FS to that of the PT-76 would be used by the T-44M/MS and T-34-85 (1969). I have a pic of it in the suggestion (there were two types, one slightly better than the other). It might have slightly better performance due to the barrel differences. While the Su-100 (1969) would get the T-54 HEAT we already have in-game. ISU-152K/M HEAT round is not an FS, I have more details on that in the suggestion. IS-3M and IS-2M did not get any HEAT as far as my research goes. I hope this’ll be proven wrong.
This is unfortunately historically accurate even if extremely rare in some cases.
Heat itself is completely irrelevant for 99% of tanks
I get that seeing Tiger 1s or Panthers obliterated by something from the Cold War is inaccurate. But, there is absolutely nothing realistically we can do about it.
Yet ask for gajin to to hopefully more the cold war tanks away from WW2 vehicles as in general they shouldn’t be fighting them.
Just wrong here as for both of these 3BK10 and 3BK10M were available during the cold war (Something Gaijin should have added ages ago to IS-3/4 (and recently to 6).
APDS exists for D-25T as well.
Its amazing that no one thought of an era system.
Cold war doesn’t downtier into WW2. Modern era doesn’t downtier into cold war.
But no, everyone will just lose their minds thinking of all the ways it won’t work instead of using the two brain cells God gave them to think of creative solutions to the potential issues.
Problem is Swedens low tier being a conglomerate of interwar, ww2 and cold war thingamajigs iirc not to mention case by case stuff like CM52, Concept 3 and Ystervark.
Honestly theses I don’t care about tbh it’s a aa used equipment found in the WW2 bracket already
Thing is, they could provide identity to these vehicles that would allow them to fit their respective eras. Fpr example, the IFV aa they have could have an infantry squad with AT weaponry or an AA weapon like what we see with armored warfare.
They could offer a better spotting system, squad support rewards with deployed repair kits that buff repair speed in an area, better repair assist/fire assist, etc.
There’s a ton of stuff the devs could do to create a deeper game loop that offered a play style for nations that wouldn’t directly be able to compete in an era until they hit a BR with heavier equipment.
Edit: it would also help these vehicles if they did a better job representing the different types of armor and internal bulkheads/equipment that would eat lower caliber rounds.
would work in game basically same play style of the Italian gun truck hopefully as a sub tree under United Korea Tree.
Give me a source pls. I’ll edit it in the IS-3M suggestion.
2S19-155

This one is particularly interesting because it has access to a thermal imager, NATO compatible FCS, uses Standard 155mm NATO Rounds (STANAG 4110 / NATO Standardized Ammunition), Russian Export 155mm Standard HE Rounds (OF-72 / OF-91 equivalents in 155mm) and Krasnopol-M2 (3OF39M).
It would make a great premium.
So you want the Russian Vidar be a premium? Hell nahh will be perfect for the regular TT
