I’d say the J-16 is that kind of plane that would be good anywhere between 14.3 and much higher depending on the armament it gets. Currently it’d be 14.3 but once we get newer missiles it will be better higher

russia did sold Arena-E to bunch of nato countries for US and Turkey it was sold under license by GDLS, for French and Germany it was sold under TDA license

The J-16 can’t use anything else than PL-10 on its wing tips so even now it’d be higher than 14.3

What they should do is literally just C&P a J-11B late slap an different paintjob on it and change the engine nozzles and bit and we’d have a 14.3 AESA fighter in the tree but noooooo thats to hard

J-11B late with fixed PL-12’s would arguably be one of the best medium-BVR platforms.

I’m almost feel like the J-10C should be saved so it can have the PL-10’s later

We waited enough for more advanced J10 variants.

Since we already have such an advanced Rafale version I don’t see any reason why we shouldn’t get J10C.

Al31fn series 5 has 14000 kgf thrust in normal mode , while ws10b should have around 14500 kgf thrust in normal mode, not too different

Sure we have. But unlike the Rafale the J-10C is the final J-10.
If the C is added now it won’t have PL-10’s and will have to go up in BR later when they’re added.

I’m not counting the 10CE pretty much the exact same aircraft with minute differences

For now J-10B or J-11B late are the best options that won’t shoot themselves in the foot by being added

J-11BG seems fine to me
Basic J-15 is also fine, maybe even a slight bit doa since it doesn’t have aesa
