No

Let’s see… the air frame is going to be limited to 8 Gs

And it’s missiles are gonna be on par with an r530… in terms of maneuverability

Same godawful radar

Still not comparable to MiG-23 in almost anyway besides MTI & R-60s

Yes I’m saying it’s a much worse mig-23 in every way other than high altitude top speed that’s what I was getting at in my original post.

When you mention MiG-23, you make it sound like it would be capable of BFM against most or half of it’s OPs

I said it’s a much worse mig -23 like the mig -25 is essentially useless. It does nothing other than go fast in a straight line at high altitude. I’m just comparing it to the 23 due to the similar avionics , but other than that it’s much worse in every way

Too lazy to do research, what’s the difference

Can only image the recoil on these things.

God dam, that’s a flying shotgun

At a glance, larger radar signature, variable engine intake and top speed of Mach 2.2

What is the missile that is closer to the fuselage

You mean the AIM-9X?
Edit: Ah no you must mean the air to ground ones, I thought they were bombs at first. Lemme search that.
Edit 2: ok so I did some research and what you’re looking at is actually jdams on multi ejector racks.
The fins make them look like missiles because each rack has 3 pairs of bombs in tandem, I think the racks are BRU-42 or something like that.
That also explains why the outer “missiles” looked shorter, the outer pylons have the BRU-41 racks with only 3 bombs each instead of 6.

fly around and sling 2x R-40TD + 4x R-60M at unaware enemies

It’s slower than a mig -23 at low- medium altitude with much worse acceleation. Plus the r40s have much worse maneuverability than even the r-23

this is where the unaware part comes into play

I thought it was the aim-9x but it looked… like it was addicted to crack.

I’ve noticed this even happens in the air — right now the focus is more on the Rafale, but the Su-30SM is just as strong. Flying my Danish F-18 is pure pain.

Yeah these are so really grown up sidewinders lmao…
More seriously that’s a whole lot of jdams on that viper
