That is awesome! I can’t wait to see more specifications on it along with the modernized BTR-80A’s, etc.

It is not beam riding, isn’t it? It is ACLOS.

My bad, yeah regardless in terms of the game it would be essentially useless given we have entered the ERA of 80km FnF missiles with 60G performance. It cant go lower than 12.0 so again its still DOA, its niche and could fill a gap if we see decomp but in game it would just be a worse Pantsir at the same BR.

now this may seem just like a GIB US BEST VIC NOW kind of thing but its not, ive looked over and looked into a bunch of the top tier air vehicles in the game and i’ve realized that while most nations have something from 2016 or newer, the US is stuck with stuff made in 2007 (correction 1991/1993), now that may not seem like that much of a difference but technological advances in regards of radar tech says otherwise, now an idea for possibly advancing the US light fighter/intercepter line after the block 50 F-16 would be this

the F-16 block 70 with the have glass 5 paint scheme, IRL it takes a F-16 and coats it in a thin layer of radar absorbent paint, the same kind on the F-35, now what it is, that’s still unknown/classified, but public reports state that it lowers the RCS down to 1.2m^2 clean and 1.5m^2 with a combat load, not quite stealth, just a smaller box on the radar to lock onto, of course if say this is added to the game within the next year, it would just be a copy paste F-16I but without the spine needed to house the extra electronics that Israel loves to put into their jets but with ofc the F110 engine instead of the F100, now of course this is from 2019 so i’m not expecting it to come remotely soon, its just a small example that we don’t need to skip directly to stealth/Gen 5 aircraft, there is still plenty of modern aircraft that still use what we have at top tier in WT today

Did Ukraine still produce these after the separation? Lol

correction, 2007 or older, the F-16C block 50/52s were built in 91, the F-15C MSIP 2 entered full scale production in 85, F-15E was given the upgraded radar that we have in WT currently was 2007, in other words pretty much the entirety of the US top tier lineup, with i think the exception being the F/A-18C late, not completely sure which exact model/block it is but it seems to just be a mash of the latter block versions so sometime between 91 and 2001, i say 2001 due to that being the time where the super hornet entered operational compacity, there were a few upgrades after that but i think those were mainly life extensions to the already aging aircraft, but were fully slotted out of service when the F-35C/Bs came out

doesnt it just have the APG-70 which is the original radar?

you are indeed right, i guess the original search provided some not so good sources (or i just typed something in wrong, or both), but the AMRAAM we have on it, the C-5, entered service in 96, i’m not saying its not effective, just saying compared to the other aircraft, the main competitors that you would see at top tier, they are a bit… dated, like the MiG-29SMT was a 2016 modification, the SU-30SM was 2012, the EF-2000 (ger) entered service in 03, FGR.4 typhoon (GB) was 2003, italy started using the F-2000 in 04, the French rafal F.3 was 04, the sweeds jas-39C was 02, and the F-16I sufa (which is coming in the next update as shown on the dev server) for israil

thought the USAF didnt field the block 70, though they have retrofitted block 50s with AESAs

my bad, but still we brought our current F-16s up to the block 70/F-16V standard

The U.S. uses upgraded blk 40/42/50/52 rather than new built Blk 70s from what i know.

Your best bet is an ANG Blk 42 PoBIT that has the PW-229.

It has all the bells and whistles of the blk 70 in the lighter blk 42 airframe that was upgraded with the 229 engine :D
