In Iran, the Western technological group was already established by 1980, so the Eastern technological group will be weaker.

Dont have to, considering the existence of Soviet vehicles in “Wester” TTs (ofc as part of Warsaw pact… which is not reflected in the game whatsoever)

I mean, a unified Warsaw Pact tree would be neat (and balances out sim battles at Cold war vehicles eras)… but some nations already being taken as subtrees unfortunately
number of chieftains, m60s and other western tanks still more than russian tanks in iran
also iran is not ally of russia
in recent war between israel and iran and usa we clearly have seen that
if they add iran to russia, many iranians wont be happy to see that
it make much more sense to add IRAQ to russia than any other middle east nation
russia dont need IRAN, may better add some former soviet union nations to russia,
IRAN SUBTREE OF RUSSIA = NONSENSE

It depends on the source of information, because if you look at everyone’s favorite Wikipedia, you get the feeling that there are about 1,5-2 times more tanks of the Eastern Technological Group
m60, m47, chieftain, m113, logistic tank like chieftain bridge and others, more in the army than irgc
most of russian tanks are in IRGC
me myself have seen many Chieftains in the army bases in Khuzestan
(the largest armored division of the army)
anyway, iran as a subtree of russia is ABSOLUTE NONSENSE
It is still better to have a source that more accurately determines the amount of equipment. Yes, the equipment of the IRGC and the Iranian army is combined into one whole, because few people see the difference.

We already have Taiwan as part of China, India as part of the UK (India has been independent since 1947 and has no treaties), Germany controls Poland again.
Over kill concept, most Eastern European nations can go separately, and yes the Warsaw Pact concept is not really viable anymore

algeria makes more sense to add to the USSR tech tree as a subtree if we are not having the other USSR states recognized as a subtree/incorporated in to the tree

taiwan china = make sense (they was one single nation about 70 years ago)
india uk = make more sense
poland germany = more more sense
iran russia = bro… they have been fighting each others for the past 3 centuries and still not ally

but iranian army as subtree of russia? you really need to ask iranians (they wont show happy face to you)
adding some new modified IRGC tanks to russia (single vehicles not subtree) it make sense
