Slow doesn’t matter at point-blank, and the 9M119M1 missile can penetrate a lot. It’s a really slept on ability to cut through a Leopard’s turret armor.
You simply need to use the missiles when needed. APFSDS is very useful and will do the job usually, but on maps like Siberian Castle, it can prove useful to have Barrel ATGMs for the brawling with Leopards and Abrams.
It should also be noted that the LAHAT can also be a manually aimed top-down missile.
it an upgraded version of the Sep V2 M1a2 Abrams and it build for more tropical environments.
so like:
Export-grade composite armor which dosen’t have depeleted uranium
Standard low‑profile CROWS‑LP
Enhanced “hunter‑killer” fire control, sep commander/gunner thermal sights
Electronics from the Sep V3
RO2001 SPH, For GB tree.
A modern lightweight SPH intend for export, fitted with a D-30 122mm howitzer in a non-rotating superstructure, with ±30 degrees of horizontal traverse. Has a .50cal commanders MG
I guess the only export customers it would work for are ones that already have Soviet 122mm guns in service, or did Britain intend to manufacture 122mm ammo to send alongside it?
I don’t know what you think but I would be interested in this in the Italian branch:
Semovente M7 da 105/34
and this even if I see it as hard to put it in the game:
Obice semovente M107
It’s American, but the Italians also used it. The problem is the ammunition.
There’s also a 203mm version, but it would be impractical to include it in the game.
It was intended for the Egyptian Army and if it was accepted it would be produced domestically in Egypt. There was a similar proposal but on a BMP-1 Chassis. However like with the BMP-1 SPG proposal, it was rejected in favor for the SP-122 BMY which was a Casemate SPG based on the M109 Paladin chassis. Egypt also operated the Paladin (M109A2 & A5 variants) which also partially explains on why the RO2001 & the BMP-1 SPG proposals were rejected in favour of the SP-122 BMY
