aim7m has been the backbone for israeli f15s for more than 20 years ,notably aim7m which enetered service in the 1990s,only recently in the early 2000s aim120B/Cs have been fulfilng the role repelacing the sparrows,which are used now only for shooting down drones

The fact that it’s smaller and less powerful is the main difference.
Pretty much, I’m not sure what’s all going on with it. I just know they’re trying to extend the ranges of it. Might as well adopted the Brimstone. Also the MMW mode like the AGM-114L is also a big factor too

A page out of a book isn’t a source however, and I’ve yet to see any primary source indicating the purchase or procurement of said missile. From everything I could find and the people I’ve talked to, the Aim-7F was the most advanced sparrow acquired and used before the acquisition on the AMRAAM. If you have proof of the contrary, I’d genuinely love to see it!
