If you ask which of the F-15 equipped with APG63v2 and the F-2 equipped with J/APG-1 was put into practical use earlier, it would be the F-2. Both were in 2000, but the F-2 was several months earlier.
Yugoslavia’s M-636D Kondor
Based off of a highly modified T-34-85 hull featuring a 600hp engine and mounting a new turret with a 90mm gun.
No, F-15C with an APG 63v2 was in service with USAF in 1999
No, that was a test. Combat use of those F-15Cs is supposed to have begun in December of 2000.
The F-2 has never even seen combat
And as for testing I’ve seen people say as early as like 1988
That would’ve been testing of the radar outside of any aircraft from what I understand. In that case the J/APG-1, or more accurately a prototype leading up to it intended for Japan’s domestic FS-X before US intervention was already built and tested before 1986. This project was cancelled due to the political pressure from the US to scrap the domestic plan based on “cost”, in favor of the collaborative FS-X project that became the F-2.
The actual J/APG-1 was first fitted to the fourth prototype of the F-2, the XF-2B serial 63-8102 in late 1995 to early 1996. Production of the F-2 was approved in mid 1996 and they were first serviced in 1999, same year as the F-15C with APG-63(V)2 service/field testing and iirc only few weeks apart. I don’t recall which of these was first though.

Seems both M46(M3A1) and M47(T119 aka M36)
and M48 used the lightweight version of T119 i.e T139 aka M41 … so might be possible?
and M56 used recoil-modified M41 i.e M54 … so might be possible as well?
At least put some effort in your Photoshop skills…
Show me your 'shoppin skills …
and this ain’t my work … just a fun “What-If”, thought I’d share
Either way F-2 was built with AESA from the ground up where as F-15C was not so still a pretty significant achievement i would say.

Bring back the Merkava mk2D at least for GE. Israel TT is limited enough. Why remove vehicles that were already available.
