Indeed, we can get to maybe 6.0 at best, not that thats an issue really.
The biggest ship Sweden considered was the Ansaldo proposal of 1943 but as that was deemed “Too large” it was never ordered. Though even though with the current limit on paper vehicles, im fairly certain with the exposure of it the Ansaldo proposal can be added.
I wish for the 2S19-Msta or the 9K33 Osa.
Mostly wish for the 2S19-Msta as Russia got no gun-based TD’s following the Object 268, other than the Object 775 which I wouldn’t really consider turret-based as much as an ATGM carrier as well as the others.
A F/A-18E Super Hornet belonging to squadron VFA-192 equipped w/ 2x SM-6’s (aka AIM-174B). Range estimates out to 250nm but multiple factors including launch platform, external guidance, etc. can affect this.
That’s the range when launched from the deck of a ship (ie an “altitude” of 4 meters above sea level) moving around 55 km/h. The question is, what kind of range can it get when launched from a Super Hornet at an altitude of 12,000 m and speed of 1,300 km/h?
More info on the M60A1 upgrade, supposedly called Soleiman-402.
Features ERA blocks at turret & hull front, spaced armor at turret sides and rear, Shtora-like jammers, RCWS with CITV and a meteorological sensor mast.
That’s quite a long barrel for a mortar. Usually even direct-fire capable gun-mortars like this are in the L/25 to L/30 range. This looks more like an L/45 barrel.
