It’s…definitely unique lol. It’s also called the AH-85 with the most advanced model being the AH-85C which is the Naval variant. Typically its frontal gun is a 12.7mm or 7.62mm machine gun.
The “C” model has a RADAR mounted in the front, 70mm rockets, Kowsar ATGM’s, and Sadid-1 Anti-ship Missiles. No A2A capability. MFD’s are used for target acquisition.
8x8 Boxer with RCT30 turret (the same found on the PUMA) that houses an 30mm, Spike’s, a coaxial machine gun, and the new MUSS 2.0. Also known as the PuBo (Puma/Boxer), this specific variant is more advanced due to the new soft-kill APS and other factors. Could probably be BR 10.7 due to the effectiveness of the MUSS 2.0 but without a performance boost to the Spike’s seeker, it will still struggle any further.
precision that it wont be (saddly) the domesticly prototyped APS that will be use , it will eaver be Rafael’s Trophy, Elbit’s Iron Fist, and Rheinmetall’s Strike Shield / AMAP-ADS (under evaluation)
Interesting, I remembered it as foreign systems being evaluated to help develop the domestic system further when the modernization first came up a few weeks ago. Maybe they will mount all of these to Type 10 for testing and then develop their final domestic version after that.
Or they simply decided that APS is necessary sooner, and want to use foreign systems now until the domestic system is ready.
Brothers, I have some bad news. I don’t think I can write a recommendation article for the T-34-85 equipped with a laser rangefinder and rocket propelled APFSDS. He has almost no available resources, only. The manual of DJW-1 states that the T3485 tank gun is available, but there is too little information on rocket assisted APFSDS. I apologize to those who are looking forward to this article
There are rumors that 80 T-34-85 (command vehicles) were modified with laser rangefinders during China’s self-defense counterattack against Vietnam. However, apart from the T-34-85 shown in the park with a suspected laser rangefinder bracket, there are no pictures or paper records of these 80 vehicles.
