Iraqi SPAA based on T-55 tank. The gun looks a lot like Type 59/S-60 57mm gun
Split the vehicle into production and prototype. Same thing should happen to the T-80U. UM with Agava and U without.
A lot of nations that get T55’s and up buying T72’s. Similarly to Finland there was a discussion to upgrade the T55’s engine but the money went towards the T72 which in game does not feature any of the upgrades done to the two models the fins modified. The FIN mod is the finalized version with the first change to the T72 which features the 890hp engine iirc

Object 490A Buntar
Object 195
Object 477 Boxer
Object 477 Molot, note the extra thiCCCCC drivers hatch. Picture taken on Kharkiv tank factory ground in 2017, current state of the tank is unkown.
Fun fact: Object 4xx series tanks are from Ukrainian Kharkiv plant. While 1xx are from Uralvagonzavod, Russia.
Object 477 tanks were very well protected with absolutely no tank shell being able to penetrate deep enough to harm the crew. Ontop of the heavy frontal protection, there were many steel plates inside the vehicle to compartmentalize it.

Again, no. They can add a 2nd T-80U without it, but the current one stays.
There is a suuggestion about that?
I mean that’s an opinionated discussion, not a one way is the highway.
Personally I think that would work, the T-80U without the Agava and a T-80UM with it, and also have the T-80BV’s Agava removed.
It’s historically accurate, the majority of T-80U’s do not have it and the T-80BV is a singular prototype rather than having the historical version.
¯_(ツ)_/¯
That uh, ‘one way’, is its already ingame, been in the game for years, along with countless other prototypes, in a game where the developers have constantly said, time after time, that prototypes are perfectly fine and here to stay.
Who would have thought that this would still need to be said in 2024.
The T-80UM (Object 291) is a different Agava T-80U to the one ingame. They can add that as an event vehicle if they want, and keep the current T-80U as is.
Plus there’s the early T-80U (Object 219A) with Kontakt-1 and 1100HP engine. But again, no reason to change the current one.
This is a historical sandbox game, always has been. Where I can play the Mirage 4K, VCC-80/60, Rad90, etc. The only thing that matters is vehicles existed.
Doesn’t matter.
Doesn’t matter, they can add another version if they want.
What’s up with the hostility man, it’s just an opinion
What hostility?

Belgian Antititankmissilevoertuig C.V.R.(T.) STRIKER, The only other Operator Country of the STRIKER
Look inside for details:
The characteristic Belgian numberplate
Five missiles ready to fire and five stowed are carried.
The missiles have hollow charge warheads and were steered by the Automatic Command Line of Site (ACLOS) system where the controller sights the target. The missiles are fired at a fixed elevation of 35º and have an effective range of 4000 metres.
The Final resting place of one of the STRIKER museumpieces at the militairy base in Heverlee.
Specs:
Note the use of a Belgian-produced machine gun by FN Herstal
This STRIKER would be very nice to see as a skin or maybe in a BeNeLux (sub)tree.

BMP-1D: Soviet-Afghan War Modifications
A BMP-1D with additional armor.
A BMP-1D with an AGS-17 grenade launcher mounted on the roof of the vehicle.

Artists representation of the vehicle.
The 30mm AGS-17 grenade launcher that’s been mounted on the BMP-1D.
Disclaimer: I apologize for the quality of the images, they’re very limited.
- A modification of the BMP-1 to suit the needs of the environment in Afghanistan. The vehicle features additional armor that was placed around the vehicle, acting as spaced armor. The 9M14 Malyutka anti-tank was removed from the vehicle due to the lack of heavy vehicle threats. In some cases the vehicle had field modifications such as weapon mods such as the welding of a 30mm AGS-17 grenade launcher to the top of the vehicle.
- This vehicle is brought up because in this update, we’ll see the second vehicle that was developed specifically for Afghanistan. The first is the BMP-2 with the ‘BMP-2D’ modification which adds additional armor around the vehicle. The second is the upcoming ZSU-23-4M2 which was designed to escort Soviet units around Afghanistan and provide suppressing fire. Since air threats were non-existent, the vehicle was modified to carry additional ammunition and have the RADAR components removed from the vehicle.
- In-game:
- The vehicle would be a unique and historical addition to the game and could fill a BR gap above the BTR-80A. The BMP-1D would feature more armor and could even have the AGS-17, offering a unique option in Rank V. It is worth noting again that the 9M14 Malyutka ATGM launcher was removed.
- Estimated BR: 7.0
Historical Photos/Information of Vehicles in Afghanistan
- Multiple photos of T-62M’s, T-55A’s, BMP-2D’s, BMP-1D’s, etc. that made up the core of the Soviet armored force and a diagram of unit assignments. Despite having more modern main battle tanks, due to the conditions in Afghanistan, the T-62 and later the T-62M were the spearhead of the force. This conflict marked the debut of the T-62M which US intelligence hadn’t seen before and designated it as the “T-62E”. Anyways many of these vehicles mentioned above featured field mods such as lattice/slat armor additions to protect the vehicles against weapons such as RPG’s and more. Tanks were at a severe disadvantage in Afghanistan due to the mountainous terrain that made ambushing armored convoys a real threat.
- Some armored vehicles and aircraft that were used in the war:
- T-62M
- T-62
- T-55A
- BMP-1(D)
- BMP-2(D)
- BMD-1
- BMD-2
- ASU-85
- 2S1 Gvozdika
- 2S3M Akatsiya
- 2S9 Nona-S
- BTR-ZD
- ZSU-23-4M2
- ZSU-23-4M1
- Mi-8TV
- Mi-24D
- Mi-24V
- Mi-24P
- MiG-21bis
- MiG-23M
- MiG-23MLD
- Su-17M4
- Su-22M3
- Su-25
- YaK-38
- Feel free to add more vehicles to the list. It is worth noting that some sources have the T-64 and T-55M/T-55AM listed but there is no image proof or documentation of this.
- The Armed Forces of the Democratic Republic of Afghanistan (DNR) also had there share of vehicles used which includes some of those listed above and the T-34-85M, T-54B, PT-76, ZSU-57-2, and more.
- Additional Note:
- It’s even more interesting to think that a lot of these vehicles are still in use today, with some undergoing significant upgrades despite being several decades old. This can be seen directly with the ZSU-23-4 and its ability to not only engage short range aircraft, but to target a new generation of threats seen in drones and cruise missiles. It just goes to show the robustness of the equipment and that even a legacy weapon in the right hands can change the course of the battlefield.
M20 Armored Utility Car as a 1.0 SPAA.
And an M20 with an experimental twin .50 cal as a 2.0-ish SPAA. Comparable to the Staghound AA except without a gunshield. Anybody have more info on this thing?
Fairly pointless considering M8 exists at 1.0, but at the same time I’m honestly shook that thing hasn’t rexeived a BR raise yet
The first image is driving mock up.
Remaining functioning prototypes are probably in Ukraine.
The project was funded by russian goverment and it was co development from russian and ukrainian side after collapse of USSR, tank hull and engine were ukrainian side, while other engine stuff like BIOS, gun and FCS were russian.
That’s literally just T-90 1992 but with 2A66, it would be better off if Object 187 got added in 5th or 6th prototype.
Thats different prototype, it’s not T-80UM, T-80UM is Object 219AS-M.
What you’re talking about is a different prototype that had improved 1G46 sight and Progress 2M thermal.
What we mean as T-80UM is T-80U fitted with 1250 HP engine and Agava 2 thermals.
Cool, but I want to see the Object 188.
