Excuse me what??? Literally better missiles for average War Thunder scenarios, what are the devs on? It can’t even used the Super Falcons like ffs gaijin

I’m quite sure the 50 km is not the range it can reach, but a launch range against X target, going in the direction of the carrier so actual max range is shorter.

In this case. Yes because either the Russians have made some way to go against the laws of physics and remove all drag. Or they have made the booster 3 times the power and fuel size.

I read up on this weapon some time ago, when I did the Su-57 suggestion. it should be direct improvement over the R-74M.

it says max range in frontal aspect, yes

but we have the same for the R-74M and the R-73
so that is probably the best metric to compare those missiles with

That’s more like a missile that could hit 50 km lmao not a regular r74m or m2

that is the R-74M2

RVV-MD2 is the export designation

It’s got a improved motor according to literally everything on it.

The R-73 graph is interesting, as it puts Velocity at Mach 2…

@Smin1080p_WT can you care to explain why the devs do not want to give the F-102 the correct missiles despite numerous bug reports stating that it is impossible for it to use the Aim-4F and G? We even have a report staring that it cannot fit these 2 into its weapon bays except for the center bay

this is ridiculous… how can they even say this??? they don’t want to add them because they’re inferior… which they aren’t… but even if they were, they add them to the J35s where they are inferior to the AIM-9J??? I just do not understand

I think the devs just don’t care about the 102 at all… I would’ve played that thing so much with these missiles. God what a goddamn shame

well i would link you the whole source if only Invenio was working for me rn

*launch velocity

there is also this newer brochure for the R-73E that says 30km (should be from the early 2000s)

Thats velocity of the target and launch plane, unless I am reading it wrong.

yes

but not the velocity of the r-73 itself

Yeah, that’s why I called this graph interesting, it is quite an unusual situation.

MiG-31 vs MiG-31

it comes from a doc for the Mig-29, so it wouldnt have been too unusual in a head on interception

Hoping the update is this week.

Gib me my hawks

so we are going to ignore max target speed being 12m/s
