It peaked with earlier 4th gen in 70’s and early 80’s, 4.5 don’t even look like real planes just ugly triangle.
From front they look like catfish (eft), chipmunk with mouth full of acorns (Rafale) or just plain ugly (Gripen, J-10, Lavi)
4.5gen do look good tho? and are all pretty visually distinct, 4th gens are pretty cool but I still think 4.5th gen had the most diverse looking options
Oh, they introduced the AShM RNG thing there too.
The middle aim thing was highly inaccurate for Kormorans and Penguin missile (when got introduced) and always aiming the funnels. So it got changed.
But instead of just sliding the aim to surface level + one meter in Y axis, they just added RNG.
They added that because previously they targeted centre of the model volume and would pretty much alway hit the breach/turret armour

Surprising? No not even remotely.
If they are continuing to give it the wrong missiles that don’t actually fit in the bays then it’s expected of them to do stuff like this.
actually this was unexpected, it’s like a new low, using an entirely different type of engine on a different plane to justify wrong figures
Not at all, look at the difference between F-16 and Su-27 or F-15 and mirage 2000, even F-14 and Gripen A
4.5 gen airframes are pretty much all just single tail delta canards
And the fix for that would be to make them actually do a proper top attack, instead of attacking from 2 degrees above horizontal. That way they would be going through the thin turret roof armor. Or maybe even have them target something like the ammo.

That’s like saying 5th gens all have very angled panels and have internal bays, aside from the J20 they all look the same
You see more variation in tail angle than with 4.5 gen, su-57 and j-20 are very different looking from US 5th gen’s
Eh, they all look the same to me, minus YF-23 (non biased opinion right here)
On the list you made,
SU-27, F-15, and F-14 have twin vertical stabilizers
Gripen is the only plane on that list with canards
F-14 is swing wing, not delta. And the F-15, F-16, and SU-27 all use different variants of delta wing
Saying the F-35 looks the same as the F-22 is definitely one of the takes of all time

Only F-15 and Su-27 are vertical, F-14 is slightly tilted
Makes me giggle a lot how people are so eager to see 5th gen jets when their implementation in the current game unless they rework heavily around it, is no less gonna be a disaster, not even counting the sourcing and bug report around it be the apex of bias and “creative” decisions

They are only tilted a few degrees, but they are still vertical stabs nonetheless. And it still has 2, not just 1
