Oh yeah great I can’t wait to get fired on by the omniscient SAM’s whilst still on the airfield.
All the targets clustered up and not bothering to add more naval targets to what is literally half the map.
Genuinely don’t understand why they think this is a good idea people have been asking for them to make use of the rest of the space available on Tropical Coast so instead of adding more targets they just cluster them up with what will be overlapping AA fire with little to no cover from them.
I should mention, I don’t think many people have a problem with this as a stop-gap map for variety while the devs work on more big maps. But one thing we REALLY don’t want is for this size to become a trend over the large settings, does anyone else agree with this sentiment?
Much less than that actually since they have only a handful of naval target on a map that’s 40% water. I’d say about 50% of the space is being used overall.
The only thing keeping this game alive is the sheer inertia it has from over a decade of popularity and if it was released in 2026 as a new game it’d completely flop imo. Stuff like this is the reason why, proper game design is a foreign concept to this studio.
Yeah, best option is to add EC maps, once like Sand of Sinai, Denmark, canyon, for the time being, but this map size they are adding doesn’t sit well with me, cause it might become a trend and people will hate and stop playing a mode that had alot of potential
I hope you don’t mind me asking, but do you have any connection with Gaijin? The issues you submit always get approved very quickly, especially some things that Gaijin has delayed for a long time, like the PL-12 missile, and Gaijin also seems to have a high level of trust in the information you provide.
I don’t see map modelling being a small thing to do
But i would settle for less maps / year if they were bigger, and this no matter the game mode.
Small map may make sense for NE if we are talking about the very low brs ? haven’t played at those low brs yet, so can’t really make an opinion for now
