Next Major Update "Sky Odyssey" - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion (Part 2)

Well I saw them twice this year already lol

One at EMA you just saw and another when they were taking off from EMA again but caught them in flight from Radbourne

Concidering they are looking for a replacer for their trainers then. a few more years prob?

T-7 in red arrows paintjob would be hot. And im totaly not biased in wanting them to pick the T-7

also concidering BAE is partner to the T-7 pitch maybe?

Lol, if we call another decade a few more years with talks about potential re-evaluation of the airframes in 2030 then not likely

Don’t RAF Cosford have a couple of Hawks now on display ?

Only the US is the user for the T-7 from Saab and Boeing, I don’t believe anyone else is using it.

Additionally the T-7 would need to undergo structural evaluation. Finland essentially wants their equipment to last for as long as tech from 40k, they essentially are looking for something that’ll live as long as a dreadnaught lol

They go to most major UK airshows. They missed a chunk of them this year as they were in the US, but there are still some remaining for 2026 alone:

The Red Arrows are elite.

Love seeing them at the airshows. Just got to get me a better lens and maybe a go pro to chuck on top of my camera ready for next years shows.

No one else uses them. also i thought we were talking about replacements for the british hawks not finland. For finland idk when they are replacing them

the british tho might chose the t-7 red hawk. especially since BAE is partnered with Boeing and SAAB for the pitch with domestic assembly for the uk

All too far for me sadly, one of the down sides of living in Derby, which is why seeing them at EMA was a treat

They haven’t been set up yet. We are constantly expanding ASMs as wide as possible and there will always be more aircraft to catch.

Also, that question wasn’t clear enough but I was asking about why Finnish Hawks aren’t planned

They seem to be going until around early 2030, that is if they sort out a replacement for them which at the moment seems like it will be the T-7 Red Hawk.

you live in?:

As we already mentioned, the T.1As coming now are not 1:1 the same as the Finnish Hawks. They are different modifications. So they are not planned for now with this batch. Maybe at some point in the future.

I mean if you want to get fancy Derventio : P

Biggest thing is just overall lifetime of the vehicle, it’s why they didn’t choose certain fighters for the HX program like EFT due to wear and tear being a problem.

If the T-7 out performs the Hawk in long term use then it’ll likely be bought.

since it is the time to ask you questions again,

is it planed for the new chinese HMD to be added to the J-10C and J-16 as well, since they are still using the Tango-2 symbology.

I only ask since the Finnish air tree has basically had nothing new since the hornets and aside from that they were untouched since they were added in 2022, it would be nice to get some confirmation the devs haven’t forgotten about them for air. Especially since most of us have been waiting for the rest of the Finnish tree since 2 vehicles since it was added is pretty poor.
