J-10C also has worse engines and fm to the J-10A btw. It’s literally one of the worst 14.3 right now, only inching above the PoBIT and maybe Gripen E.
Because it is not, USAF did not chose the 16 missile configuration and only chose 12, though it was proposed, pretty sure that F-15EX is for Boeing only and not for USAF, like a Tech demonstrator

The engines do make up for airframe’s weight past mach, and it does flop way more below mach compared to the C (which already flops at that speed). Not too sure about EX, given they have different engines and perhaps different weight loading due to being new frames.
Really Hope the EMBT is going in both french and german TT otherwise there will be a huge community bully. Like we did for the sk105, the df 105, the Clovis etc…

This is kinda my issue with proponents of 16 missiles for EX, since while the Golden Eagle is a tech demonstrator, the EX is a service jet, so it’s a bit weird to me that we’re putting tech demonstrator stuff on a service jet that doesn’t carry it.
In my headspace it’s like claims of a specific F-14A which carried amraam and F-14D’s avionics suite, therefore F-14D should get amraams. An argument that was rejected by devs before.
