Could the 2-seater version not just be added as a modification for the single seater?
That way we don’t have to research/buy/crew a whole new vehicle, but can still get a visual/weight update once the mod is installed.

They’re not ex-RAF because they’re based on Mk.2 Sabres with the original angled armoured windsreen. They’re ex-RCAF.
All the RAF’s operational Sabres were Mk.4s and had flat windscreens, which remained present on the RAF planes transferred to Italy and Yugoslavia.
I think the confusion that they’re British comes from the fact the Greek Sabres were transferred from Canada to Greece via the UK, where they were overhauled by Airwork Limited in Manchester before being picked up and flown to Greece.
That sounds like a cool idea, but I don’t think that’s a thing they can actually do
werent the greek ones Mk.4?
No sadly, as that’s not possible. It involves different skin textures and the visual model entirely.
Like I said, they don’t have the right canopy/windscreen to be Mk.4s
Can you provide or list any of them? I’ve never seen any proof the Canadair Sabre Mk.4s can use Sidewinders, so I and a few others believe the fact it’s stated in there is an error by whomever wrote it (there are multiple historical discrepancies in their older not in use aircraft listings, I can name a few if you’d like). The only Greek Sabres which used sidewinders that I know of were the Sabre Dogs.
Edit:
Ah I see, very well then.
I do think some of the confusion comes from this line here:
120 used Canadair CL-13 Mk.4 acquired from Royal Canadian Air Force and redesignated as F-86E(M). Assigned to 341, 342, 343 Interceptor Squadrons (Μοίρες Αναχαιτίσεως) and retired in 1965.
(The RCAF never had 120 Sabre Mk 4s…)
Mixed in with the Greek site, claiming:
In 1954 Greece received the first F-86. The aircraft were not new, but retrofitted, by North American, RAF Canadair CL-13Mk4.
https://www.haf.gr/en/history/historical-aircraft/f-86e-sabre/
From the same wiki
Royal Air Force - Acquired three Canadair CL-13 Mark 2s and 428 Mark 4s, 8 December 1952 – 19 December 1953. During 1956–1958, 302 RAF Sabres were overhauled/modified in the UK and returned to the US Government (who, with the Canadians, had financed the aircraft for the Mutual Defense Aid Program) in camouflage colours with Canadian serials and redesignated as F-86E(M); of which 121 were then sent to Yugoslavia and 179 to Italy.
121+179=300 thats leaves 128 Mk.4 that Greece probable got
Wouldn’t that only leave 2 Sabres?
It claims that only 302 were given to the US to export to other nations.
Tho what supports them being possibly ex-RCAF Sabre Mk 2s is
Turkish Air Force acquired ex-RCAF 107 Canadair CL-13 Sabre Mk.2 “F-86E(M)” in 1954, retired 1968.
(The article is annoying as it bounces between the proper Sabre Mk X name and Canadair CL-13 Mk X. Yet CL-13 is not used as a service name in any of the sources I’ve looked at)
@Smin1080p_WT Not a huge fan of tagging GMs and CMs but i kinda wanna know since a simmilar but much more severe issue was solved in days on the dev server. if you have any way to get this more atention as it hurts gripen vs planes it should outturn at high speed (and would in full real controlls) it would be really nice of you.

They work fine from +80km. I can average 9-13 SAM units in a single sortie which to me is much more effective than limited ARM strikes.
Externally, all the Greek ones I’ve seen look identical to the Turkish ones, so I’m inclined to believe they were both Mk.2s. Turkish ones were overhauled in the UK in much the same way the Greek ones were.
The serial on the ingame one, 19199 is an ex-RCAF Mk.2
Note the original narrow-chord, slatted wing, and angular “vee” front windshield on the cockpit.
ex-RAF Mk.4s would have flat windscreens unless for some reason the Greeks specifically requested the F-86A style canopy from the Mk.2 be refitted.
The flat windscreen was introduced on American Sabres from from the F-86E-10-NA production block onwards, and Canadian-jets followed suit from the Mk.4. The Canadair Sabre Mk.2 being based on the previous F-86E-5-NA block, itself having a USAF production block code F-86E-6-CAN
Early RAF Mk.4s with the original narrow-chord, slatted wings, came with the flat windscreen

refitting the jets to the slatless 6-3 “hard” wing was the major change that occurred during RAF service

above being the last batch of Mk.4s delivered from Canada, showing the 6-3 “hard” wings was being fitted from the factory by that point. Still with flat Mk.4 windscreens
Italian and Yugoslavian F-86E(M)s have the same features, being verifiably ex-RAF Sabre Mk.4s.
All the Greek (and Turkish) F-86E(M)s I’ve seen have the “vee” angled windscreen like F-86A/F-86E-5, that was a feature of the Canadair Sabre Mk.2

And that is also what’s modelled on the Greek F-86 in the game.
Prior to the wing conversion, the only difference between the Mk.2 and Mk.4 was the cockpit. And what differentiates the Greek (and Turkish) F-86E(M)s from the RCAF Mk.2s is the conversion to the 6-3 “hard” wing like the British Mk.4s. AFAIK the Canadians only had hard wings on their Mk.5s.
Ultimately whether Greek Sabres were originally Mk.2 or Mk.4 airframes makes no difference in game because they all ended up with the same wing and had the same engine. The only important aspect of it is in how reliable the source saying they had AIM-9Bs is, if they’re not accurate on which airframes the F-86E(M)s were sourced from.
Only some bigger maps in sim that have trees. There’s also alot of patches of the maps with no trees. Where alot of player fly around to just MP the whole time.
Pretty sure that they can’t change MP height on a per map basis and I can’t remember if they can do it on a per mode basis either
Weapons for the low BR infantry test( preliminary lowest BR 6.3 ), and some other changes:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Warthunder/comments/1wq89lm/259034_259036_258_infantry/
New wearable camo options, additional warhead selection for the RPG-7 including HE and tandem type, and “killstreak” variants of the H-34(USA) and Mi-4AV.
And here I was hoping they abandoned infantry
Oh yeah that’s an gun only F-86 going to do with a plane that is armed with a 9G ?
Nice picture. Saved so I can use later on my sub tree hate posts
It is a direct copy paste of the Aussie Sabre. If devs gave the Swiss rockets to the vehicle which only Malaysia or Indonesia used, that would be somewhat different aircraft.
Until that day, A-4 and MiG-29 and F-18D are only unique vehicles (and the latter two can be removed from the list if an export 9.12 / 9.13 or a 9.12 /9.13 with R-77s come to game alongside a you guessed it US two seater F-18)
