I think we are missing a point. The reason France did not get much unique vehicles (both subtree and main tree) this year for ground and air is mostly a developper priority issue. It seems like half of the vehicles France got were boats, which only a minority of players enjoy.
Meanwhile, there was even an update where only the carrier model and 1 whole other boat was added, with that carrier never appearing since the forestall is spawned instead of the Foch, making its addition only a test drive thing, making it just highly redondant. (And it was confirmed to me by Smin that the addition of the highly detailed Carrie remodel was the reason for the lack of additions this update, since France, like other minor nations, can’t have it like Russia and the US who still had multiple additions beside their carrier introduction).
Benelux would have been good standalone, but I do still think it’s a great subtree for France. Low tier props from the Fokker actually bring a lot of uniqueness to the air tree that is absolutely lacking in unique vehicle at those BR, and it’s also true for the early jets, where 8.0-10.0 France is a bit lacking (tho the meteor could have been a French variant, I don’t mind it being under a Belgium flag !). The Cheeta is also a unique SPAA for France which does not have 35mm. The issue for the ground tree stems from the fact that Gijin has simply being concentrated on adding higher tier Leopard which all already have equivalents and doesn’t bring uniqueness to a BR which already has plenty of leopards in multiple nations. Benelux has a ton to offer to France, just not high tier MBTs in my opinion

Honestly it’s hard to imagine how they will perform in naval battles, especially in realistic mode without speed boost and torpedoes reloading.
