Overall i liked it. Still not sure about submarines but overall its looking like a decent update.

Unless Gaijin changes the damage multipliers and makes nukes less important, MW-1 and JP-223 wouldn’t be worth using anyways, as they wouldn’t do much of anything against airfields lol
I’d argue that getting angry when they do the good deed is kind of a step in the wrong direction. I imagine if the developers think that no matter what they do, it’d be met with disappointment, then that makes them second guess every addition. You could also argue that getting angry everytime something good happens is just bad for your own mental health, whether you realise it or not.
I became a much happier person when I didn’t get disappointed or angry everytime something got added that I didn’t see a personal benefit from.

They can absolutely do both. but ppl get annoyed when bugs remain and new stuff is added and old stuff gets forgotten and never fixed. AGAIN I like new stuff being added. but the frustrated reactions are understandable even if many are over the top
No i totaly agree that the ppl getting angry when new stuff is added are in the wrong. im just saying i see where they come from.
New stuff is neat. and WT has been lacking new gamemodes and stuff for a while now so i see it as a very positive thing that that has been focused lately.
Curious how fuzing will work on the cluster bombs.
Whether there’s (selectable?) time fuzes that determine height of burst and the resulting spread of submunitions, so need to be released at optimal altitude and speed, or if it’s treated like all of them have a proximity fuze
Yes, but people like to redirect completely off topic to something hugely minor. I for one would much rather we get submarines rather than the Gripen E’s wings fixed for example. Do I want submarines? No, not really. Will I ever use them? Probably like twice. But I can still appreciate that they are a much more important and cool feature than fixing a minor bug like that.
I hope the HOB is fixed. Would be pretty potent at fucking people up on airfields otherwise.
The last time we saw cluster munitions (during Nuclear Thunder in April) there were no sub-munitions, so there also would be no fuze stuff.
They obviously could have done a lot of work to make them more realistic, but back then the cluster weapons would just remain as a single unit and spawn a bunch of explosions around the point of impact.
Personally i believe gaijin is capable of both improving the bug reporting and getting fixes for minor stuff out faster and still add new stuff if they truly wanted to.
Edit: also submarines is hype even if i dont play naval that much due to my main nation not having naval yet
Capable? Sure. But it’d take so long for them to make the changes to the bug reporting (as far as I’m aware one of the major bottlenecks is how unorganized the reports are, but that’s speculative) it would likely detract from the game itself, which people would most certainly complain about. Maybe once we’ve got the latest weaponry and aircraft they’ll take a minute to sort that out.
I do hope we get a major update dedicated to bugfixing at some point. Ik a lot of ppl would be really annoyed at basically not getting any new vehicles but honestly i feel like its needed or else minor less prioritised bugs will just keep piling up.
and yeah i agree. the disoragnization of it prob is the worst bottleneck. being able to sort them by vehicle, gamemode, etc would be great and a fantastic way to filter out nonsense reports that take up like 75% of all bug reports.

I think the part im the most hyped about the next update tho is the cluster bomb stuff purely due to the tiny chance we might get the BK 90 c:

I’m hopeful too but doubtful. Realistically would expect they’ll just shove CBUs onto the Gripen and call it a day.

this is a whole new level of not keeping up
For my part I’m actually a very happy French main. The 35mm SPAA are very good platforms, and this will be somewhat unique.
I do however hope that this will be accompanied with BR changes for SPAA in these ranges. I don’t really understand how the AMX 30 S DCA is higher than a Gepard. On one hand, I don’t think the AMX 30 S DCA should be all the way up to 8.7, and on the other hand, none of the 35mm SPAA should be below 8.7 imo.
It would be a huge W if they add LOAL on the AGM84H, with LOAL it would be able to utilise more of its range.
