Do you have some tips for writing suggestions? I have a few things that I have considered writing suggestions for but I don’t really know where to start
It’s just annoying for those who were AD and worked with AD frames to have to fly some stinky ass ANG airframe. Would like to see AD skins come as an alternative for a change.

Are you sure you are using them correctly? If you drop them from low altitude, they often just hit dead on and don’t do much sometimes. The best way to use them in GRB is to fly low to the battlefield, pop up once you get over it and climb as high as you can, and then drop them from orbit. In NE, it is best to either just drop them from high altitude or if there are still S-300s up preventing you from going high, just manually loft them. I have been using them mostly in NE and in there I have at least a 90% success rate with them.
Not aimed at me specifically but the biggest tip I can make as a Suggestion Mod (despite just following the rules) is looking at other suggestions for similar vehicles. There’s lots of active suggestion-makers that have really nice formats that are good to yoink and make your own.
Its also good to start simple, I started with cosmetics then moved onto the Cypriot M47 (which actually took a lot more effort than I’d thought) which is near-identical to the one in game, so it was easier making a post on it. Then I did the Cypriot T-80U and T-80UK which have small and significant modifications.

Yeah I didn’t see any mentions of it until like 10 minutes later (I have just been going through all the stuff that was unread for me) and at that point, people had already seen and responded to my comment so I didn’t see the point in deleting it
Find a format that works for you. There’s really a general format that all need to meet like having pictures, a history section, vehicle specs etc but take a look through some already written suggestions and use a format similar to them.
I usually make them like this.
- Picture of vehicle
- Brief description
- History of the vehicle (development + some uses of the type)
- Specifications (Crew count, Size, Weight, Powerplant, Performance, Armament, Avionics (if applicable).
- Pictures of the vehicle
- Poll (must have a no option on all polls)
- Sources used
Don’t write it directly on the forums too, do the history and specs in a word processor like Google Docs or MS Word because sometimes the forum bugs out and you’ll lose it all (Note that something like Google Docs isn’t always too reliable as I did lose everything making a suggestion ready for the CH-54B and docs wasn’t auto saving properly). Then once you’re finished with the main write up copy it onto a forums draft and format it and add in your pictures and polls.
Also don’t go too mad making loads at a time it can get you burnt out pretty quick.

Those won’t be there all the time, especially if nobody has gotten into their CAS aircraft yet, since most people spawn them in response to dying from a plane instead of first spawning it. So if you are quick to get in your CAS aircraft, you can usually do your first run without much getting in your way. And if there is one up, you can just launch a HARM or 2 at them in quick succession from up close and they usually die.
Also in NE I have been using them against convoys quite a lot, and they work just fine for me. You just have to get a bit closer so they can lock the tanks themselves instead of the ground.

This is a great tip, I personally wrote a lot of mine in Notepad then just copy and pasted it onto the forum. Later edits I did straight on the forum after I’d posted it though. I deal w/ suggestions a lot so I’ve pretty much got most the markdown stuff memorised which is a plus.

Don’t have a Hornet or Tornado?
Does the HARM on the Eurofighter take up the slots for Spice bombs or something? I have personally been using the F-16C, and personally I prefer it over the F-15 because in exchange for just having a smaller payload, it gets HARMs and a good nimble airframe that is better for dogfighting when necessary. And the HARMs help A LOT for survivability in NE. If you get shot at by a random 2s6 that pops up out of nowhere and you know you won’t be able to dodge it, you can just throw a HARM or two at it and even if it doesn’t hit, it will distract it for long enough for you to get away. But on the F-15E, they don’t do the same for AGM-65s and GBU-53s. So you will still die, but you at least get the kill on it when your munitions land.
I did used to write all of mine directly in the forums which felt like tempting fate with my WW1 Air TT Expansion suggestions with them taking like a full day each.
But now yeah write up in Docs then format on the forums before saving to my desktop as a .txt. I have even backed them up to to cloud storage incase anything happens.

Tornado has no FNF muns (barring the PGMs, but you don’t need to do that strat to employ them), F/A-18F only gets double racked stormbreakers so I’d be better off just using conventional muns anyway
I also do my suggestions in a very motivated way, I’ll do it for like a week or two for like 6h hours on end and then not do a suggestion for a while. It just so happens the vehicles I’ve done so far are either incredibly annoying to find information for (Cypriot T-80Us included a lot of “maybes”, red herrings and watching one too many Greek videos) or almost impossible (Cypriot M47 I had to talk to the historian who made a niche book that served as a primary source, and got permission to upload the only English-written primary source on the internet that I know of).
It’s important to do it in a way that feels natural, there is no deadline on making a suggestion so don’t rush yourself ^^

No, I just don’t like the Eurofighter for CAS. Feels pretty gimped using munitions it doesn’t use operationally just to be competitive.
Every time I used the EF2K in NE I did pretty piss poor and then did way better the next life when I spawned with the F18F
