Which you can do pretty reliably.

Which Brimstones do much easier than AGM-65s etc

God I wish

And that’s why the Gripen wasn’t a good example there. The YF-23 also did not enter service like the F-16XL and the Yak-141. So they would give the YF-23 the weapons it was planned to have, just like the F-16XL and Yak-141

There are also munitions in game like the GBU-53/39 and Spice 250 which drop from straight vertical. And those are already the meta cas weapons, so there would be no noticeable change in gameplay.

F-16XL would’ve received AMRAAM had its prototype airframe been completed, which is what we got ingame - what its completed airframe would’ve looked like, not any MLU fits.

The YF-23 was never provably tested with any sort of munitions, so at best it would’ve received the missiles of the time, not any fictional MLU fits, as is in keeping with the F-16XL.

Edit: I should clarify by would be received I meant any future plans, not completion of the airframes - which is why I used Gripen as the example; JSOW is only in future plans at current.

I don’t know what glide bombs you’ve been using but the stormbreakers and spice bombs almost always get to ~45 degree terminal angle whenever I’ve been using them - before being eaten by Russian ERA 🤬🤬🤬

Pretty sure they didn’t test putting weapons on the Yak 141 either

The YF-23 would be a “what-if” vehicle, just like the Yak 141

I don’t know about the Yak 141 to comment, but yeah, it would be a “what-if” vehicle - but the YF-23 would certainly not be receiving A120C-5s or A-9Xs as that is not what the airframe would’ve received had it been completed - which as far as I can recall is Gaijin’s standard for that sort of thing.

Of course not, AIM-120As and AIM-9Ms at best, AIM-7s and AIM-9Ls at worst

9Ms were not in service at the time. I’ve not been disagreeing that it would be receiving 120As/9Ls either lmao

edit: I misread a 9 for an 8 oops, ignore me.

It would have recieved AIM-120As and AIM-9Ms, as those were the weapons planned for it, and those were the weapons the F-22 entered service with. The F-22 did not receive AIM-120Cs until a decade or so later, and it didn’t receive the AIM-9X until fairly recently

It wasn’t planned to have any proper combat loadout, that would’ve been the F-23.

“Fitted with hyperdrives”
But it’s using the warp nacelles of the original enterprise…

Also lemme just drop this here

It’s been about as long between now and the F-22 receiving the AIM-9X than the F-22 entering service and receiving the AIM-9X. Not really recent any more lmao

I can’t really comment on other tanks, but at least for the Abrams to auto deploy smoke grenades, it does need to be equipped with the laser warning system. The LWS is capable of doing 2 things: Turning the turret towards the source of the laser emission, and deploying smoke grenades automatically. I believe it is something the commander can switch on/off as well, to make it do nothing, do both, or do only one of the 2.

I may have mixed up the recent “Raptor 2.0” modifications with the modifications done in the early 2000’s.

Elmendorf raptors got AIM-9Xs in 2016.
Better late than never: Alaskan Raptors are the first F-22s to be armed with the AIM-9X - The Aviationist

Hell, AD airframes still don’t have HMD. Only Hawaii ANG airframes do… Yet another fucking ANG airframe for the US tree, I guess 🫩

Chill on the ANG they’ve gotten some pretty nice upgrades for their F-15’s and F-16’s
