The F3H thread got locked while I was writing this, and it is a long comment so I did not want to discard. So here below a rant:
[[The thing got a few months earlier than it should, at its place there should be the F11F or FJ-3M. When it dropped with early IR missile mach ones like F-100 or MiG-19 or late F-86s, it caused people to turnfight because everybody was still turnfighting then.
Only after some time the radar missiles got added and flares came, so people did more orbiting and shooting missiles down.
So yeah this vehicle should be 9.3 and the 9.0 gap should be filled with F-86H or similars]]
But Canada is not amongst the current sub trees? As you said:
Regardless, my point remains the same. If you can only recognise the problems that 3, 4, or 5+ sub nations will cause in a tree when it is your nations tree, and not when it is another nations, there are double standards involved. That’s indisputable really.
Gripen E and Gripen A are so horrid to look at in game, literally no effort especially in the As case, gaijin only decided to work on the C for the UK when it came out.
Well, being the main nation might be better than being a subtree of Britain.
But as I proved with the BeNeLux F-16, you still dislike splitting Aussie from the UK and making CANZAC TT.
No?
If Aussie vehicles shouldn’t be added to Britain because those vehicles aren’t british enough,
Then adding those to ANZAC TT sounds very Aussie, but you lads will still disagree with that idea too.
The only reason I am currently supporting the addition of Aussie vehicles is
-I don’t want aussie feels the pain which I felt from those American-built, British-purchased vehicles. Since, in the current status, the UK TT is their home nation.
It is an Aussie remix of “why we cannot have Sabre F.4”.
That is why.
If they weren’t subtree at all, I might be neutral about that topic and support ANZAC TT instead.
It isn’t a sub tree but it still is a priority placement nation, meaning it’s vehicles will either go into the British or the US tree.
The maximum amount of sub nations that there is for a single nation is 3.
Great Britain only has 3, and even then nations like India only have 3 tech tree vehicles.
Difference is we don’t have a tech tree, we have no clue how it is going to implemented, what nations it will be combined with. How am I supposed to have double standards for something that doesn’t exist? My opinions are only my personal preferences from what I research and find out about, and if Gaijin goes against them, then I can just cope with it.
Weird place to cut the quote to take what I said completely out of context and dispute a point I wasn’t even making?
I am well aware of the various sub nations currently in-game. I actually was addressing the common notion that Poland should come alongside a broad Eastern European/eastern bloc tree, made up of Poland+Czechoslovakia+Ukraine+the three Baltic nations+whatever else. Which you yourself are very outspoken against, as you have correctly identified that pilling a significant amount of nations into the confines of a single tree is only going to lead to underrepresentation for everyone involved, amongst other issues. .
I… don’t even know what to say to this? You do realise that double standards are based on opinions, right, and you can very much hold opinions (you certainly do) on things that are yet to be added to the game?
And I have never once said otherwise? But, as I have said repeatedly, from the very first message of this conversation in fact, your opinion on how you would like sub trees to be addressed in your nation is in direct contradiction to the opinion you hold on sub trees within other in-game nations. A double standard, if you would.
I’d argue only the UK tree is the priority placement for Canada
As the US only has 3 vehicles (4 with the pack one) that fly the Canadian flag and one only came years after it was first added to War Thunder do to US mains crying, well the other two are from really early in War Thunders life. Aka their is nothing to suggest US has any proper claims other then their crying that that effectively breaks the rules about politics.
So Canadian vehicle go to the UK unless other nations cry loud enough or Gaijin feels others need it more. Something that has been made is very clear we are unhappy about.
Yes, but clearly “it being a leopard” clearly doesn’t mean as much. If the US designed Hornet could go to Britain the German designed Leo 2A4M CAN could also just as easily have gone to Britain.
