Next Major Update - Rumor Roundup & Discussion

How about adding every aeroplane to US TT since the Wright Brothers invented it.

And add every vehicle to the Italian tech tree since all roads lead to Rome.

whatre you going on about, if it competed in AGS then of course it would have existed regardless of Thailand. they picked it after it was made

US could be fine without skink if gaijin chose domestic option over copy paste, funny we do agree after all. but entire chassis is more than a gun.

this is what i was talking about with “every nation under the sun”, theres no good reason to dilute the uniqueness of other tech trees to add these F-16’s outside of skins, premiums, or events.

would have been absolutely horrible.

you just want to see every vehicle spammed to every tree imaginable for the sake of it, there is no real reason, lineups are a self imposed restriction and you can take a single vehicle into every regular gamemode if you want to play that specific nation so badly

Funnily enough isnt restricting vehicles to specific nations only also being somewhat limiting, genuine question

it serves a purpose of making the different tech trees more distinct from one another. the whole lineup thing is a self imposed limitation because there is nothing stopping you from taking the specific vehicle you want with a backup in any regular gamemode, if that is the only one from that nation in a tech tree. The same way there is nothing stopping me from taking just the plane i want to play in nuke thunder, there is nothing stopping anyone else from only taking the plane, tank, or helicopter from the nation they love so much anywhere else.

it would help the uniqueness of each nation and make it so each nation has some things over others but other nations have others over yours, it would have more people want to think about what they play instead of hehe “meta tank go boom” or something like that, while yes there’s gonna still be some vehicles like that, its not gonna be 4 nations with tigers level of spamming if you can catch what i’m trying to say, it would also help in sim epically with the amount of M4 shermans running around

Now, where have I seen that happen before?

Oh, right, you and the LAV family. Where you constantly brought up anything about its origin; past American Service doesn’t matter.

Even if it’s designed, built and everything else by a different nation. All of that must cease to exist to exist and be a pure US variant, something not granted by you to other nations doing the same to your vehicles as you do to theirs.

But C&P complainers have always shown off double standards, even more when they are a nation main of the big 3.

Honestly the minor differences between vehicles that may look the same is what i kinda like, in service mods and the like, or a later variant of the same vehicle as the Washington shows compared to the standard b-29

thats where i agree, with other nations having their unique mod that can be spotted, like on the british sherman 2 vs the US M4A1, theres that box of water on one of the fenders

And the various mosquitos added recently

almost everything on the LAV-25 except the bare hull is of American origin

Stingray was developed in the 1980s, and AGS was rebooted in 1989.
If Thai never became an investor, would Gage Cadillac have continued its development when they started developing it as an ‘export vehicle’, and if there were no suitable customers?

Gaijin chose that not only because Gaijin loves copy-paste, but also because there were some US Mains who coped with that: 'Skinks are Shermans, ’ iirc.

Then, Belgium and Dutch players need to shut up about their vehicle addition and cope with userskins ‘for the greater good’?

See?
If we follow your idea French didn’t operated F-16, so no F-16 on french TT, then BeNeLux should’ve had their F-16 when they became a major nation.

But you chose to gatekeep it again.

No? I want to see our vehicles which we operated, but you blokes just won’t allow us to have it?

Greeeat. Being cannon fodder with no proper lineup. How generous.

Bit hard to make uniqueness something that exists when standardization has always been the name of the game.

Even back in WW2, production of unique vehicles ended just because the Allies decided to standardize on the Sherman, and standardization would only get worse as things got more costly as the years went by.

Just take a look nowadays- so many vehicles basically have the same specs, as that’s what their allies are using, making it so they can share supplies.

there still wouldve been prototypes, and they probably wouldve still shot for the AGS program.

yes, cherry pick user skins when i mentioned 2 other paths for addition if the vehicle is actually that different from existing F-16.

every nation ever needs all their vehicles ingame for representation!!! give me south sudan armed forces or gaijin hates small nations!!!

nothing stopping you from taking the other vehicles in the tree, thats what i was talking about with the whole self imposed limitation thing

they don’t have to be completely unique, just have something that’s big enough to spot the difference, like what i brought up with the in game brit M4A1 VS the US M4A1, something to at least spot the difference, such as, different MG or MG placement, or just something that can’t be covered up with a bush, something more than a basic paint job that could be covered up if say, you don’t know which nations camo it belongs to or a marketplace paintjob over it, such could be the case for the many M4A4s

Yeah, unfortunately Gaijin doesn’t always implement such minor differences, sometimes even mixing up variants like it happens with Hungarian and Israeli Shilkas.
Even identical vehicles can look unique in different nations, like M18 in the Italian tech tree for example.

Although imo the real problem with identical vehicles is the need to research and spade them in each TT again and again, would be nice to have some discounts for each one researched.

No matter whether standardisation made those vehicles C&P, we should ban that C&P slop for the greater good. /s
We need to keep the tech tree unique, and those are just necessary collateral damage.

You might be surprised that the whole LAV(AVGP and other LAV variants) discussion devolves into ‘those vehicles need to be US TT since it was developed by General Dynamics’, or ‘need to be German vehicles since Mowag were originally a Swiss company and Swiss is a German subtree’.

US main heard it was related to the Sherman and cried that they should have it because no one wanted to look at the vehicle’s history, and as seen, they still don’t. Because they all automatically assume that if anything even used a US part, the US has full claim to it as a domestic vehicle to them, as building military vehicles is one of the many things they can’t picture other nations doing/being like.

To them, a vehicle could use a Polish hull, be built in Poland, by Polish people, but if everything else is of US origin, it’s now a pure US vehicle.

Considering they are one of the people who push those claims, I doubt it. Yet any time I see someone break down both families, they always come to the conclusion that the LAVs might have started as a licensed-built Mowag vehicle but nowadays are a pure domestic Canadian vehicle.

It’s almost like there is more than one LAV variant listed as pure Canadian, while any the US uses is listed as joint. Oh wait, it is.

Yeah, it might have a chance of prototypes remaining; still, Gage Cadillac is a private venture, and they might cancel it if Stingray seems not to be shot enough to be exported.

Sooo-
If there are either a ‘BeNeLux subtree in France’ or an ‘Independent BeNeLux Main nation tree as 11th nation of War Thunder’
Belgium players shouldn’t have their F-16 but need to grind US TT to strap a userskin on it?

VeRY CleVeR.

Difference between South Sudan and BeNeLux, India, Swiss are,
South Sudan isn’t officially implemented as a sub-tree of another nation.

You are strawmanning here.

pure domestic Canadian vehicle with a detriot diesel engine, Allison transmission, American optics, Bushmaster 25mm or 30mm, TOW’s, etc. i could list more for US operated variants.

like they have to grind France to get the same vehicle?

you defend Australian and Canadian vehicles in UK though dont you?

Because Belgium is part of France as a BeNeLux sub-tree?

Bad news for ya, Australia became a sub-tree of us officially. After the addition of Abrams iirc?
