Honestly yea, there isnt really anything india offers that britain has no answer for. Does allow for weird things like marut, tejas and arjun at least. As far as a gap filler it couldnt be more obsolete especially as Australia and other commonwealth realms fill in far better.

i fully expect the F-35 within the next year. would be nothing but a speedbump to get to a plane that isnt just the aviation clone annoying people glaze too hard

christmas update was the eurofighter update 2 years ago, I think we all were expecting the gen 5 stuff last year to some degree, especially with how fast we went from F-4J as top tier to typhoon

That’s why I’m still mad at the fact that the Aussies got two free Hornets, while Canada got its only one as a $100 premium, and this is after selling Canadian modern MBT for the same price. So, of course, I want a free one with all the variants that could be added.
Also, I could point out that for the Canadair Sabres, the same can be said about the Aussie Sabre filling that spot.
But I doubt an unarmed prototype would be useful in the British tree as that is what CL means in a vehicle name (outside one addition) if used for a proper addition: a Canadair aircraft that never made it to service, as that name is only ever internal and was replaced if it made it to service.

Last i checked the entire point of India (and the rest of the commonwealth) was to help fill holes in the UK tree. (as are most sub trees in a given nation) The Rafale (and Su-30MKI for that matter) don’t fill any holes or niches that the existing UK variants of the Eurofighter Typhoons or the Aussie/Canuk F/A-18s already do. Stuff like the HAL Tejas and Atlas Cheetah? those are actually unique and bring something different to the tree. heck the Su-30 MKI and Indian modifications of the MiG-29 actually offers something different in having a whole new avionics and weapons suites available to them. Even then i would still rather Gaijin prioritize stuff like the Tejas and Cheetah first.
Ah yes the all of two Indian vehicles and 3 Russian ones (one has slightly different ERA coverage and worse shells i guess).
I don’t really care that much about copy pasta, My issue has and always will be gaijin prioritizing the easiest way out over everything else first. that’s why i absolutely loathe the entire Benelux tree. It never added anything or filled any niches that Existing French vehicles could have done and none of the interesting Benelux options have even been added until recently with the Belgian leopard 1 that didn’t even get any of the shells it would have been using so its just boring.
so excuse me for being jaded about everybody asking for the Rafale when there are genuinely far more interesting options from india that should be added first. Like give me the Tejas. or the modified Indian Shar or Jaguar or the domestic Indian mods of the ZSU-23-4 with an AESA radar or the funny BMP with NAG missiles or the domestic light tank with the ugly cockerill turret. or idk like any of the myriad of domestic South African options they still haven’t added to the game…
TL:DR, subtrees are awful and gaijin dropped the ball on them and idk that one Mauswaffee post about subtrees or something i am going to go drink some more…
