or they can just add prototypes and demonstrators, like they already have (2S38 was added as a demonstrator, Chally 3 in game is a tech demo, etc.)
CR3 ingame is not the CR3 that we will see in service with that sort of suite either, which is exactly what I am getting at here.
3 were Cypriot
Because it’s a tech demo for challanger 3.
Well yeah, it’s called the Challenger 3 Tech Demonstrator in-game
Correct. Which is… exactly what I am getting at here.
Adding tech demos and prototypes that DO NOT HAVE what you are talking about completely negates the argument that adding them with that sort of suite would be a good counter. Because they do not have that kind of suite.
WHEN the Leo2A8, CR3 and such are added to the game, then yes, the argument would hold water. But as of right now, it does not.
If we know its slated to get said suite, then its likely prototyped, and therefore can be added through that. I agree we need more counters but these vehicles can still technically be implemented w/ them in game before they enter production irl.
Which is barely ever enough information for Gaijin. We can’t even get the Challengers to have their proper turret behaviour based off of clear images, let alone a highly restricted sensor suite.
Reminder that these systems have been added to prototype vehicles if they prototyped them.
With enough documentation for the systems, I would imagine.
I love that channel
Not really. Sep V2 got rosy and lws basic one 1 limited trial iirc 🤷♀️ the information needed is actually basic
Rosy and LWS aren’t even slightly as complicated to model.
I don’t mind adding the YF-23 in a configuration it actually had provisions for, or even equipment that was intended for the YF-23. What I do mind is making up an armed configuration for an unarmed (or in this case just insufficiently armed/equipped) demonstrator just based on a different planned aircraft.
Again, even if the F-23 is a paper design that can’t be added, making a fictional one instead is not the right call.
Think of it this way, even if F-22 was never built, that wouldn’t mean giving all of the F-22s service equipment to YF-22 would be a real aircraft. It would be just as fictional as it is now, because it adds capabilities to an aircraft it simply never had, and that were never intended.
It’s very surprising to hear there was no physical progress on the F-23. Did they really not build at least a single component for it? If so then yeah, I understand that it doesn’t even make it to unfinished prototype.
I don’t think Rosy should be modelled lol
I believe the competition for the ATF program was decided pretty quickly after the YF-23 got built
The YF-23 took its first flight in August 1990 and the YF-22 was selected as the “winner” in August 1991
Yes
they are adding this one day or another
even su-47
I really don’t get why this is even considered.
The YF-23 exists, even if it’s not equipped in a way that would be anywhere close to meta it’s still a real vehicle. If they absolutely have to make it a viable top tier option, there’s the F-23. This one seems to have never left the drawing board from what I’ve read here, but even then still better than making things up.
So why does it have to be fiction? All that does is cause a situation where people find out, complain and eventually have it removed so Gaijin can keep marketing the game as realistic, as was done to the Panther II or Ho-Ri that were similar fictional alterations of real partially prototyped projects.
