Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

Gaijin giving T-90Ms their incredibly detailed chains:

Gaijin giving Merkava Mk.4s their chains, one of the most identifying signature elements of those tanks:

(They would still be worthless with their 11.7-level armor in 12.7, but at least they would look cooler)

Alright I have 2 but these are all for long term plans.

  1. Is Greece/Cyprus planned to be the last sub tech trees added or can we expect more after them?

  2. Going back to your statement from CM No.8 you said that

And I want to know, what other tech trees is Gaijin considering? I’m aware plans may change all the time and some ideas may be dropped, but it would be nice to see what other nations we may be able to see added to the game in the long term future.

I don’t understand how they have it modeled on the namers. But not the back of the turret for merks. It’s just so naked looking

The last new? Because multiple Subtrees still haven’t been implemented like ground Swiss, Aussies, Romanian and many more

Do you mean Subtrees? Because we seem (this is guessing) to still have some subtrees to be properly added (Indonesia ground had multiple vehicles planned, but only got one by the looks of it - Swiss + Malaysian Ground is a possibility since we got Swiss/Malaysian Air, etc.)

Would love if my TKX didn’t lose all its speed when trying to do the slightest turn… But i don’t mind waiting a couple more years! NE is more important! (Also theres infantry thats slowly gonna die)

I meant that are they the last sub-tree’s planned to be added to the game?

Yeah I know, but they just keep on adding more sub-tree’s instead of finishing the ones we already have, will they keep on doing this or will they stop adding new sub tree’s?

Such a shame that Rowiek isn’t here to enjoy his unique Japanese prop he’s been asking, I guess that what you get for being overly sensitive about C&P

Wasn’t it confirmed that we’re getting the Exocet tho?

yeah, SIDAMs are way too strong, M163s are not so bad in NE in terms of shooting aircraft down, Just ordnance,

the Shilkas are much more offensive in shooting down aircraft

Especially when there’s mega desync

BVV_d took him out in a raid, got him like the Seals got Bin Laden

i’m tempted to repost that video i posted again lol.

I was a promising teenager on High School when Regenerative Steering was passed to the developers for the first time in 2017, and I’m now a grumpy ass half-dead pharmacist who uses War Thunder as a means of escapism.

So… I hope it can be understandable why I’m bitter towards the apparent lack of progress and implementation of Regenerative Steering after these 9 years xD

Should. Its very beautiful seeing it work how its supposed to

I tried to do a bomb run multiple times in the hawk and buc, and every single time I got close, even with pre-emptive defensive maneuvers and taking a really wide arc, I got shot down most of the time. I think i survived once, 90% of the time, I got 0 RWR warning from a radar-guided SPAAG in aricraft with some of the best RWR of that bracket.

And a direct attack, not just weaving between them looking for a hole, has yet to work once. Like trying to use unguided weapons on the bases or convoys, if the M163s is still up, you die.

Ive not faced the ZSUs yet because Britain is exclusively on redfor side.

I dont even want to try the lower bracket at hte moment, because i imagine the AA is 100% identical, but I cant use guided weapons from afar to take out the AA first

What they need to change:

  • Hard use of radar on radar SPAAG, otherwise there is massive accuracy debuff, to the point where hitting is basically random chance. No more aimbot. Reduced engagement range too if no radar, like should it really be firing past 1km, with no radar lock? If it has no radar in the first place (like SIDAM-25) then it really shouldnt be sniper accurate at 5km.

  • Overall reduce the accuracy even with radar, use the same code for induced spread we have in naval, that works fine for the most part.

  • Acutally use ammo? They seem to just spray infinetely as you pass, Im not sure what the ammo capacity actually is on the M163, but surely the gun will overheat at the very least, if not run low on ammo with some of the bursts ive seen them fire.

Ive also heard of issues with the ZSUs using stealth belts or something too?

Theres no hard limit on this. Just nothing to announce at this moment. But its entirely possible there could me more in the future.

Others are always under consideration too. Just thats not something we can disclose at this time :)
