Honestly seems kind of like a silly statement…

The employement of Martlet LMM by a helicopter vs by an SPAA system are completely different, the heli generally being outside the effective engagement capabilities of most ground vehicles in-game, while the SPAA can easily be shot and killed. The wildcat also carries up to 20 of them and can fully replenish its stores endlessly by only being out of combat for ~1min, and being almost completely safe from all potential threats barring an aircraft catching it at its helipad during one of these ~1min window while the stormer carries up to 8, and can only replenish 8 before it needs to venture to a cap point to replenish, which if its already fired all its Martlets, will be rather unsafe.

Theres also the fact that they themselves stated it would likely struggle vs MBT’s, as seen in the devblog:

So clearly it wouldnt suddenly make the stormer some godlike anti-tank system, it would just give it some degree of self defense capabilities much like many other SPAA’s have more while finally giving it the capability to strike recon drones.

Finally, theres the “before making any decisions about existing vehicles which currently have settled down at their BR” statement; Major updates are FOR new vehicles/weapons/features to be implemented, if they dont do it now, they’ll have to go through the exact same situation later. Might as well just give the Martlet to both in-game systems that operate it so you dont have to revisit the issue at a later date.

It kind of just sounds like you’ve taken a roundabout way of saying “no, we’re never giving the HVM Martlets”, since we all know gaijins propensity to completely ignore things they’ve added in the past. If a bug isnt fixed or a weapon isnt implemented within the dev server time for a major updates, its likely to stay that way for a year or 2 at minimum, if it ever gets revisited at all…

Oh, and finally, its not like the brits cant afford for the HVM to go up in BR if the Martlet is added, they have a whopping 3 10.3 AA’s atm (Stormer HVM, Indian Strela-10M, Indian Osa-AK), they have the rapier at 9.7, the Stormer AD (sidegrade to the LAV-AD) at 10.0, and their next AA system is the Canadian ADATS at 11.7, so theres actually a hole to fill in the event the HVM needs to have its BR increased!

No problem with that, it’s just that a lot of people seem to forget the two Chinas are both Chinas, both partially claim each other etc., and then wonder why the China tree has China …

We all know that Republic of China is a Subtree too People’s Republic of China and that’s the problem, the TT isn’t it a 50-50 and Republic of China doesn’t even get their own flag

Yeah the flag thing is an issue IMO but business is business

On the other hand, i think its hard to call X a subtree of Y when Y only appears at rank 4 (planes, idk about ground)

Edit: by that logic, are the BRD and DDR (west and east germanies) subtrees of nazi germany? Is nazi germany a subtree of the BRD?

Looking at the air tree, are both subtrees of the glorious DDR???

Considering it’s very likely that it would be a single ground addition to the TT this update, I would take pretty much anything over C2 honestly. I still hope that it can get something to make it interesting irl, like APS for example.
