@Smin1080p_WT Do the devs have anything more to say on how they intend to balance LDIRCM helis against IR SAMs?
Also would you know if they plan to look at IR missiles and their poor ability to incercept munitions.

Aside from missiles, bombs would be significantly more difficult for an IR seeker to detect and track reliably, particularly at useful interception ranges. I’m afraid this is more of a physics/sensor limitation than a game balance issue.
And thats why nearly all use DL, just because it cuts the DL connection to the Missile once it has a IR lock, doesnt mean thats correct, because surprise, atleast on NATO side the DL connections stays until the Missile detonated

70km range instead of 80km (basically nothing burger), if they feel funny theyll adjust the motor tho

It isnt random, it goes to the closest enemy player. So if you crash while trying to dogfight, the other guy who caused it gets the kill. If you crash doing a suicide bomb, potentially the guy you tried to bomb gets it.
Frankly, theres literally 0 downsides to this feature and its a 10/10 change by gaijin.
Its also nothing like a random player in football scoring and giving it to the opposing keeper.
Do you mayhaps do revenge bombing? Like, I honestly cant understand why you are so upset by the feature.

Well that score would’ve been lost either way then, now the guy/gal getting revenge bombed at least gets the kill for it. So maybe it’ll finally do something about the prevalence of revenge bombers.
