Thank you for the clarification, I did infact not notice that, apologies.
Just noticed the heavy cavarly trophy released, and its seems that most of the camos are a big nothing burger, very boring. BUT there is 1 that i really love
Spoiler

quite expensive tho…
Dude you should’ve seen when it first dropped lmao

ouu shi i’d pay that for how beautiful that skin is
I mean, Norway or Finland definitely have quite a few, Poland also, I mean hell Norway has more decals than a new player has access to on Sweden currently. They have what 5-6 ground decals and 3 air decals?
Norway so far from the monthly has like 3-4 air and 7-8 ground at least.
P-38K and P-47M are some of those limited time (anniversary of US air achievements (or polish if you get the polish P-47M)) buyable vehicles
Depends on the visual model, but most likely yes. It’s just the same set of 120x internal countermeasures that the F-15I has
So… can we expect to see another CBT for infantry this patch cycle or is nothing such planned?
Might take a bit longer, they stated console testing will begin for the next CBT patch for infantry and I can imagine they are trying to get everything somewhat stable.
@Smin1080p_WT Hello. Could you tell me if removing planes from the infantry mode is no longer a topic of discussion, or if we can still hold out hope that planes will appear in the infantry mode?
This is honestly really exciting to see.
I know this isn’t a proper suggestion, but I think it’d be fun to throw together a few ideas for what some possible packs could look like for Japan, and non-techtree nation (subtree) themed options for Thailand, Indonesia and Malaysia:
Spoiler
Japan - 6.3/6.7
Example image using existing vehicles, variants are meant to be differentFor Japan I think a prototype theme might be the best way to do it. It’s the first lineup that gives the option to do a proper theme with matching BRs, rather than mixing early SDF with IJA or having BRs too far apart.
For the actual vehicles I propose the STA-1B, STA-2B and a visually distinct copy of the SUB-1-II.
STA-1B - 6.3 / 6.7
The STA-1B looks a lot like the STA-1 already in game. The main difference it features is internal, with a new 600hp engine. This is still less than the 650hp engines of the 6.7 BR STA/Type 61s, so it would still be 6.3 BR.It is possible 600hp is the net number though, while the game uses gross horsepower (for example Type 61 engine is only net 570hp, but gross 650hp). In that case it is more mobile and might slot in at 6.7 BR.
STA-2B - 6.3
The STA-2B, unlike the STA-1B, is visually very different from the STA-2 already seen in game. The tank adds the rangefinder and machine gun missing from the current tank, changes the gun mantlet for a flat, angled type and changes the transmission to a new one based on the Chi-To.Honorable mentions could be any of the SS prototypes (leading up to Type 60 SPRG), or a service themed version of the lineup with Type 61 and/or Type 60 SPRG variants that would also still fit the semi-historical SUB-1-II
Thailand - 9.3
Example image using existing vehicles, variants are meant to be differentFor Thailand it was a lot more difficult to find a set of vehicles that would work well in such a premium pack. Mainly I wanted it to be distinct from packs other nations might get (so avoid “all US vehicles” for example), and have it be visually distinct or sidegrade vehicles that don’t take away from the techtree. I also tried not to make another 6.3/6.7 so I could have some different BR ranges for each nation.
In the end I settled on a 9.3 lineup including up armored Stingray and M60A3 TTS tanks, and an MU4 Starstreak carrier for an SPAA.
M60A3 TTS "WERA" - 9.0
The M60A3 TTS “WERA” features domestic add-on armor made from wood on the turret and hull sides. Otherwise it’s identical to the techtree vehicle.Stingray Light Tank - 9.3
A Stingray tank fitted with add-on slat armor, also otherwise identical to the in-game tank. There would be other options with wood armor similar to the M60, but I didn’t choose them because they come from currently active conflict while Gaijin tries to avoid these things usually.
Thairung MU4 (LML Starstreak) - 9.3
The Thairung MU4 is a domestic Thai vehicle platform, used here to carry an LML Starstreak system. Here I chose the open configuration, so that a closed roof variant could still be in the techtree, but it could be the other way around too.Unlike the Starstreak on the Stormer HVM, this launcher only has three ready to fire missiles, and lacks thermals on a less protected chassis. But the main difference is that the basic LML also lacks automatic target tracking, requiring the player to manually hit the missile on target due to the missing proximity fuse. This is the reason it’s placed a whole BR below the Stormer here.
Indonesia - 1.3
Example image using existing vehicles, variants are meant to be differentIndonesia is the first of these nations that currently lacks ground vehicles in game, making it difficult to pick out vehicles when usually I’d try to go for sidegrades of existing vehicles, or ones that seem redundant next to similar techtree vehicles. Neither of those are easy to do when it’s still up in the air what vehicles we will even get in the first place.
But from where we are now, I think Indonesia is a great candidate for an entry level “starter lineup pack”, consisting of a Chi-Ha, LVT(A)-4 and Morris C8 SPAA. This might not be as exciting, but it still manages to bring something new from the nations history and makes for a versatile starter lineup.
Chi-Ha - 1.3
The Indonesian captured Chi-Ha was used during the National Revolution. Here it’s shown on museum display with a mock barrel allegedly representing a field modified conversion using a 6-pounder cannon, but as that is unconfirmed a regular Chi-Ha is suggested instead. This tank also isn’t missing from the techtree, since a Japanese version is already available.
LVT(A)-4 - 1.3
The LVT(A)-4 was given to Indonesia from former Dutch stocks after gaining their independence. This vehicle is already in game as an event vehicle in the US techtree, so it might be interesting to have a more accessible version in this pack.Morris C8 Mk.III (Type 89) - 1.0
The Morris C8, like the LVT, was obtained from the Dutch after Indonesia gained their independence. In this configuration it’s armed with a flexible, double barrel 7.7mm Type 89 machine gun, the same that can be found on aircraft like the Ki-21.While this wouldn’t be the most powerful vehicle, offering only slightly higher fire rate for less guns compared to similar 1.0 SPAA, it would at least be unique to the nation. It would also be nice to tie the packs former Japanese / Dutch tech together for the Indonesian independence theme.
Malaysia - 11.7
Example image using existing vehicles, variants are meant to be differentMalaysia was by far the hardest nation to put together here, with both no vehicles in game and very limited options. Still, if it’s really needed, there is one option that could seem reasonable enough, even if the BR seems very high for such a pack.
This pack could include a PT-91M, Object 478DU8 and VAMTAC RapidRanger.
PT-91M (camo net) - 11.7
A variant of the PT-91M in Malaysian service equipped with a camo net, still leaving the tank itself to enter the techtree without the camo net.The BR is just a guess.
Object 478DU8 - 11.7
The Object 478DU8 is the variant of the Oplot for Malaysia, featuring single layer Nizh ERA rather than multi-layer Duplet. Firepower wise it would be limited to 3BM42, leading to a lower estimate BR than the current Oplot-T/M.VAMTAC RapidRanger - 10.3
The VAMTAC RapidRanger is used by both Malaysia and Indonesia, so it’s a convenient vehicle to place in such a pack while the techtree can still get it through the other nation.
For ID the most complete (as in main tank with spaa) would be this:
- AMX-13/75 (SM1)
- PT-76M
- AMX-10P
it would be around 6.7-7.0, maybe with Operation Lotus as inspiration for the vehicle decorations
I think I forgot what these packs are halfway through. For a lot of my picks I was thinking about picking variants that don’t take away from the tree, when the packs so fair are mainly visual changes on techtree vehicles.
yeah thats what I was thinking primarily, since its going to be mostly the same as their techtree counterparts, but with some small differences
Bar the Russian SPAA, they’ve all been stuff found in the tree dress up.
Even if some of them don’t belong in their historical themeing, or literally couldn’t exist that way (once you look into what happened when the two nations where put together during the time).
Premiums that are Vehicle found in the tree with “stuff” is the best to me, as if you like the vehicle and want a version to grind you can.
Because the F-15C GE is not on par with those aircraft.
The Su-30SM2 has Irbis-E and R-77-1s. In other words it has the ability to just sit in a notch and fire missiles perpetually. Not to mention it can actually win dogfights.
The Eurofighter AESAs may only have AIM-120B/Cs, but they also still have the ability to provide DL to their AMRAAMs the notch. Not to mention they have more than enough flight performance to more than make up for any advantage the 120D brings over the B/C.
The F-15C GE’s gimmick is missile count and the ability to fire outside the missile’s gimbal limit with the 120D (which the radar can barely make use of). The speed only applies in a straight line and is outright worse than the Eurofighters in pretty much all regimes. It also outright loses a dogfight against any 14.7. At least the EX guarantees some parody with the Eurofighters in the ability to maintain that speed through defensive maneuvers, and more internal CMs that aren’t small caliber.
Not to mention BOL does not make up for much considering they’re erroniously considered small caliber. If they had their proper caliber size, sure that would be a point worth noting. Otherwise they’re only good for spamming chaff.
CBA to get into the full argument, but I do just want to remind you that whilst the F-15C GE gets BOL in addition to its main CMs, the BOL are the EFTs main CMs, even more so after the last major update nerf that reduced its LCMs count by half.
We better see countermeasure rework when 5th gen ir comes
Technically they have…
But yeah… Its stupid that we still have artficially nerfed BOL after this many years. Especially when they keep claiming they never make changes based upon balance and only ever on realism
When you want balance, gaijin will say they base things on reality. But when you ask gaijin, using actual data, when they’ll make it realistic, they say it’s a method for balance. What players want needs to be backed up by public data, but gaijin can change the code without any evidence or data. Now, with in-game equipment getting closer and closer to the latest tech, where are players supposed to get so much non-classified info? It’s unreasonable to begin with.
