I think it’s not as good as AH-64E and Z-10ME. 64E has 16 missiles, and Z-10 has fast lock BA-11. AGM179 and BA-11 both have heavy warhead HEAT code, so most of the time they can do one-shot kills.
but they are on the same level, the difference isn’t that big, and they are far beyond things like EC-665.
USSR still lacks top light tanks, these things are not so comfortable for their mobility. but, most TT don’t have top light tanks. and the backups like T-90M and T-80U, all not so comfortable in top.
I will put these together, since current new SPAAs are all powerful enough to make CAS hard to play, so I think not so big difference in current time. And I think IRIS-T’s IR seeker makes it the best, its range is enough for most targets.
So, in my opinion. USSR is the top rank TT in the top, but it’s not perfect, and with some changes, other TTs can get over it. Even China TT, actually its lineup now is one of the best, it is close to surpassing USSR. So it’s just gaijn’s turn to decide if they will make the small change.
Well, in the game, no. All IR seekers share similar parameters. So it’s a 12km tank lock and about a 20km ground point lock.
In reality, it is also inferior. You can’t ask it to be as good as a Patriot-sized missile. but I still think SLM is the best in game, enough range, and non rwr triggering seeker. just not so good at dealing with LDIRCM Helis, but same for ARH missiles.
again we seem to have completely different experiences where L23A1 just seems to do no damage, either way the thing is still incredibly strong at 10.7 I think they move it to 11.0 and it would be good as it has really good armour but lacks FnF atgms of the 11.3 IFVs
also please for the love of god either reclass it as an light tank or give the other ATGM carriers the ability to get ammo boxes
I would prefer them to move BMPTs up and give them darts. Atakas barely ever do proper damage (often requiring 4 missiles per kill) so your main weapon is the 30mm. Sure you get the ammo box which works for ATGM vehicles that can afford to just camp in one spot and pick people but for BMPT which is not a small vehicle you simply cannot do that. It needs brawling scenarios or at least something mid-range to compete and constantly dropping and buidilg the box then standing there and reloading is not optimal.
Because it is still a great backup, has good armour optics and fire power.
Same reason in the British lineups people play the 3TD as a backup despite being pretty poor.
On the small maps we have reverse speed isn’t as critical as it once was. Would it be nice to have better reverse speed of course
Funniest thing from him so far is that he complains about the M1A2 SEPv2 mobility not being good, but then the very next post he refuses to take off TUSK II because, and I quote “It’s the only thing that makes the SEPv2 unique from the other Abrams tanks”.
My handicapped arm also makes me unique from a lot of people, doesn’t mean that it’s a good thing or that I should want it if I had the option to fix it.
lol thats great, the Challenger 2 TES and 2F are unique from the base challenger 2 because all of the armour im not gonna complain about the mobility I know what I signed up for (also they look way cooler then most MBTs so i dont care if its just as heavy as a king tiger )
I think still important, unless your game brain is so talented that can always have the whole battle field situation in mind. for most players, “go out, shoot, and get back” is the basic play style, and “get damaged, reverse, repair” too
mfw stealth isnt that big of a factor at top tier so EFTs and Rafales continue to clown on the 5th gens due to their sacrifices of energy and agility for stealth
I wouldnt want to call that a skill issue but I’m pretty sure thats where the problem lies. People are overwhelmed by the new vehicle and are yet to learn the ways to kill it. Add to the fact how community (CCs included) constantly drives itself on the problem without trying to understand it and here we are.
I’ve played both with BMPTs and against BMPTs, at 10.7 and at top tier and from this wider pov I can say that its not as one sided as some people make it out to be.
They’d probably suck because of what they carry, most 5th gens, apart from the obvious, carry Aim-120’s which are currently dogwater, so yeah, a Rafale in a meta like the current one would still dunk on a 5th gen that gets modeled pretty badly.
I somewhat expect some meaningful gameplay changes before the arrival of 5th gens, otherwise they’d be mediocre at best.
come back for German TT.
what to do to make it next meta?
I guess at least a AH-64E level Heli, with heavy warhead missiles and LDIRCM. MBT line up is still fine I think so not so need to change. A good light tank is welcomed, and a back up MBT like L2A6EX, but not so necessary.
SPAA is fine enough for now, so as EFT with SPICE 250.
so this is the minim requirement to make German next meta.
maybe, but like I said, it draws too many experienced players to it.
and in 10.3, it can meet many light tanks fragile to autocannon and MBTs with only DM23/M735 that simply can’t pen it, BMPT is their natural enemy.
we shall see in 10.7, and the popularity faded, what will end up with.
Except it is one-sided. Just another OP vehicle in the most powerful line-up in the game.
The only things I’ve seen that could be reliable are high pen autocannons(and in other nations, those are few and far between), stuff that are forgiving when the first shot fails do to volume of fire. MBTs don’t have that luxury, so they fail a lot, so once they open fire, half your crew is gone, and everything is disabled, and that’s before the missiles.
Russia currently dominates the top-tier. It has the best tanks, the best infantry fighting vehicles, the best helicopters, the best SAM-15s, and the best CAS and SPAA.
AGM-179s don’t hit targets and don’t cause damage. Meanwhile, LMURs are guaranteed kills because they fly precisely into cover and carry a larger warhead.
So it’s not enough for you that Soviet tanks have better protection against APFSDS shells, but you also want better mobility? So that other tanks don’t have a chance at all?
However, Russia has a helicopter that can only shoot down the Pantsir or Buk; the Mi-28MN is simply out of reach of all other SAM systems. Meanwhile, the AH-64E faces combat with the BUKM3 and Pantsir.
