Yeah I take the tanks because it lets me carry a reasonable amount of fuel internally (to turn well) while also letting me fly around for long in case I don’t find anyone to engage for a while.
Early game I drop the tanks pretty fast but endgame you sometimes fly around for a while so it really helps.

Mig 29 and F16 on release of apex predators were 12.0, AJS was 11.3 when it was released during apex predators. JA37C was 11.0 during apex predators
The AJS was basically stuck fighting F4S, F16, MIG 23ML, and Mig 29 as the only jets youd encounter, rarely anything else

Eh, the british phantoms are at 10.7 with a decent air kit but mediocre ground kit. Although what is funny is that the italian f104s are all 11.0 and above in ground for whatever reason… dumb bombs and rockets only?
