Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

yeah the movement look like 2d but what make it 3d is the fact that the engine have more angle of vector.

left is 3d and right is 2d

also what make it 3d is the fact that each engine have its own movement unlike 2d where both follow the same movement.

3D thrust vectoring means that you can contoll 3 axis with thrust vectoring

  • Pitch
  • Yaw
  • Roll

2D thrust vectoring means that you only have 2 degrees of freedom from the 3 named above

this is not true

it has nothing to do with the engines moving independently, the nozzles on the F-22 can move independently but it isnt 3D TVC

Yup only Russian plane with 3d tvc is the mig-29 ovt

and even those engines itself only have 2 degrees of freedom

up-down and left-right

having 2 of them makes it so you have 3D TVC

i geuss we learn new thing everyday

@Smin1080p_WT hey I just wanted to ask you really quick about a report that was “accepted” for the Merkava heat chains at the back of the turret. I had seen the report was allegedly pushed as an internal recommendation. Does that mean that the devs are working on it to be added soon since it’s put as internal suggestion? Just wondering is all cause I love the new addition of animations for chains and camo and such. Would just be nice seeing that “predator hair” looking stuff on the back shake every time the cannon fires

Hey. It means there is an existing internal suggestion report for this on all of the Merkava’s already. So its the equivalent of a duplicate report, just internally made.

I don’t think its only 2 axises of freedom, I think it’s a full 360 as given by both the engine specifications and this 29-ovt promo video (time stamped to 15 secs)

Maws finally fixed yet? Not sure if this change is live

I gotcha. Thank you for the clarification on that, it’s definitely much appreciated.

Anyword on Gripen E 3d model or its MAW getting sensor fusion?

Also is there a reason the new ELC can’t turn its turret 360 when stationary?

no idea tbh, its french :)

Nooooooo

Welp this BP is dead to me

its still only 2 axis on which the nozzles move

left-right and up-down

if you had a single engine aircraft with one of those engines it would only have 2D TVC, pitch and yaw

YES.
However, if they hand us 5 daily backups per nation
I would actually think about it being great. Or at least, that’s a possibility for a bump on the concept.

this is also a yes, but there’s a couple nuances, like the guided missile systems (ADATS, Pantsir, ItO), they’re quite reliable even on absolute stock configuration, same kinda goes for the Ozelot, and overall MANPADS (albeit knowing their limitations).

They should have parts, First improved round, thermals and expert crew. I believe LRF is way too much of a prize for a free vehicle to actually get resources for zero repair costs.

yep, cant have anything decent to help specific vehicles

Idk why they dint juat implement a system like the strv 103. I mean gaijin doesn’t care about fixing that vehicle and all its problems either so why not add another redundant system like stationary mode
