That is a standard for helis
Helicopters grind is awful, I mean you can grind them with ground tech, but spading them… I honestly haven’t touched helicopters for a while, I remember some didn’t even have missiles stock, A.109EOA-2 stock with 28 Mighty Mouses without ballistic computer was especially painful and Mi-4AV too, but Mi-4 has stock missiles iirc now, not sure about Hirundu.
PVE mode is also kinda “special” and you can’t even do daily task there.
Get well soon brother
get well soon man
Good luck bro.
Jeez man… Get well soon, keep us up-to-date if you mind.
Hope you get better bro 🙏
Dang man I hope you get better, I’m not even a believer but I’m praying for your recovery rn…
Many aircraft have similar modifications as well if I’m not mistaken. The ability to carry more of the same bomb, or like the Scimitar which I think had a modification to increase from 2 to 4 AIM-9B, or some of the Hornets increasing the AIM-7 count. Off the top of my head, and if I’m not mistaken.
The newer high tier jets have that kind of mod because they get access to a limited missile loadout from the get-go. For some older jets with missiles that’s the case as well.
There is only one mod to increase the number of missiles, rather than one to unlock them and another one to increase the amount you can carry.
This kind of weapon unlock splitting is unique to helis and it only serves to make the grind more frustrating, similar to how you have to unlock SARH missiles on certain planes that have a limited amount of ARHs available by default.
I hope you get better soon, best of luck!
Damn, you got Gaijined IRL… I kid, I kid.
Anyways, I do hope there is a road to recovery for you, good luck and Godspeed.
there used to be tho I think
I believe I remember on the MiG-21Bis you used to be forced to Research R-60 single and Double rails seperately in the early days
Yeah, that was a thing even before flares were added ye.
Then, weirdly enough, the soviet Bis was the last to receive R-60Ms like two or three years later.
@Smin1080p_WT may I ask if the devs are trying to make the Strike Drones more attraktive?
Because 750sp just to spawn an vehicle which dies often instantly and has only 2 Guided weapons is kinda meh
Maybe the costs should be getting reduced to spawn them?
+the Weapons givin are also quastable, like:
Wing Loong I gets:
AKD-9 6km
AKD-10 8-10km
Orion gets:
KAB-50L (GBU)
KAB-50TV (F&F GBU due to TV seeker)
9M133FM3 10km
9m133M-2 8km
MQ-1 gets:
AGM-114K 8km
they’re already a cancer, it doesn’t need to be amplified
they always seem to easily evade search radars (if you even have one that is), and MANY SPAAs round the BR do not have the missile range to attempt to engage them
Unless you get unlucky and have an SPAA that both
A) The Range to hit you
B) The Search radar to spot you / player gets lucky with “Air Alert”
they’re 2 easy kills given that unlike Heli-Launched ordnance, these all come from quite a sharp vertical angle reducing jank moments where they do nothing.
It’s also not helped that there is no penalty from Jing out after expending said ordnance as you can’t crewlock a vehicle you don’t have, so even if you respawn in an SPAA to shoot them down, you don’t get the kill because they either, J-out, pull hard at the last second (can often stop them being shot down), or get out of range of your missile entirely
the only good things about them is that they are not spanwed in every match (if you want to bring CAS you just bring your own plane, if not you usually don’t want to play CAS and just play a tank/SPAA)
Do we play the same game?
In my WT Those drones die allways instantly, The second an drone spawns, the SAMs launch there Missiles and kills the drone
depends, top tier ground and 10.7 (highest i usually go) and top tier at 12.7 are very different areas for CAS
at top tier they would be food with how SAMs are at that BR
Rolands, Strelas, Osa, Rapier, LAV-AD, Stormer all can have major issues engaging them, especially the Wing Loong and Orion with their 10km missiles, MQ-1 not so much
That explains it, because I am mainly playing 11.3-13.0, and there the drones are just food for any SAM
yeah, at 12.0-12.7 where SAMs can actually engage them properly an MQ-9, or an Orion with Vikhrs, or some later Wing Loong
but at the lower BRs where you can find Attack drones they are really annoying to deal with
Regardless i’m still opposed to attack UAVs in general, they provide nothing but annoyance, either you’re on the ground and die to one of 'em, you play one and you die quickly, or you play one and get 2 mindless kills
