Ngl through the JF-17 does a similar role to what they had with their F-16s so in that sense it does make sense. Idkw about the J-10 though unless they want to replace their Su-27 with

I don’t see how any other plane would have performed better tho, without dedicated EW aircraft to provide cover.
Flying any plane with a decent amount of air to ground armement at 30 thousand feet with no air cover while the enemy uses multiple AWACS and longer range missiles (PL15 against a grand total of 0 Meteor) is a stupid strategic decision. The later days with the Indians using their planes in a more sensible manner (low penetration and using the range of AASM and SCALP) got them their military targets without further losses
there are better way to strike a target. india used the worst strat ever. they have the tech for it, the power to produce weapons cheap like upmk.
if they used su30mki with weapons ( such as their glide bomb gbu39 equivelent or even their own glide bomb ) 1 plane could destroy multiple target at the same time. even flying low it can do it. their mig29 was useless, mig29k never took off from the carrier. rafale ? barely did strikes.

Its already on stuff like the A-10,Su-25 and F/A-18 and its predictably awful. Especially since the Idea of modeling redundant systems is a foreign concept to gaijin.

I mean it’s a nimble fighter something that is between the Gripen and the Falcon so I’m not really surprised smaller nations are going for it.
