I personally think they should implement detailed modules just like they did to helicopters before adding such mechanics.
Hmm…
The issue though imo. is that aircraft that have just eaten 1-2 missiles (I did have a Typhoon iirc take 2 missiles hits, I have no idea how he survived the first one) or a large burst of canon fire and quite literally in a flat spin, on fire, missing entire control surfaces, etc… There is absolutely no way they are surviving, Shouldnt be able to fire missiles. Especailly with the huge FoR of the new radars, its stupidly easy to do.
Now imagine someone in flat spin spamming ASRAAM, or IRIS-T, or Aim-9X etc. It would be really really stupid.
So maybe not have the system disable CMs, and tune it so it required more damage, but I still think it beats out the current situation of needing to put a second missile into someone who is dead just to actually kill them
i want the severe damage mechanic removed, its so stupid
I’d be fine with weapons being disabled after counting as severely damaged, but that’s it
If ARB had respawns, I’d see no issues with the mechanic at all, but as it stands, only Sim should have it
That is all id ask for.
I got totally screwed yesterday, after killing an Su-30 in a vertical fight. I was left relatively slow, which wouldnt have been an issue, if I didnt need to defend against 3x R-77-1s that got fired at me from an awkard direction, which meant I had no energy to deal with the Typhoon that then dived on me.
It was deeply frustrating
The problem with that is the missiles are real, and they go closer to Mach 3 with active terminal seekers
Not only are those missiles 100% real, mach 2 also isn’t even unusual for anti radiation missiles
The way ground battles work and the tiny maps with very little to no proper cover (plus a general lack of room to maneuver a lot of the time) turns (H)ARMs into a hard counter against anti air
Anti air already is at a huge disadvantage against CAS, there is absolutely no need to give CAS the ability to basically stun-lock anti air
What does it say about rear aspect jamming capability?
Per the slides all of the electronic attack is using the AN/APG-81 fixed plate AESA for ingress jamming.
(that’s a No)
Gotcha, I just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anything, but that does line up.
Yeah the reason being is emitters aren’t great for stealth. You can get away with construction angles such as AN/APG-81 and 79 are mounted at +30° to help with that but for the distributed jammers found on planes like Rafale, Typhoon and other 4++ jets would comprise the stealth somewhat.
same problem 2 Solutions
- Radar Missiles are too deadly
Hide or Fight, Stealth or ECM
can’t have both be equally strong

Japan will grow stronger lol
japan is like the new king of mixes. took the crown for britain lmao
God not the JF-17 too seriously ?
i will not take it seriously. indo are know to show intrest and not buy
