Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

Do you happen to have a link to a user mission to test them?
I’d be very interested to see how they uccrently work

If that would be their reasoning, why wait several years to add basically something that would compete with R-27ET though? They could have introduced it much sooner since it would have much less effective ranges.

It’s very buggy, and clearly not in a finished state, as while you can force the seeker to receive inertial designations, you can’t activate it outside of normal means. So either you can force the missile to have a permnantly active seeker, or you can trick the missile into activating by turning on then off your radar.

Fun fact, that second method is actually close to a bug you can do in game. Basically on F-15s with RAM mode, you can lock a target in STT, turn on a SARH seeker, then swap to RAM mode, and the missile while fire even while receiving no guidance. Sadly no 7Ps on the F-15 to actually make use of it though. Fun little quirk of RAM not having illumination, but still technically being a radar designation source type.

Probably because of the IIR seekers (dunno if the electro optical seekers would also factor in)

Ah, aight

That sounds a bit like the weird fake LOAL implementation on the Hellfire missiles

yeah gaijin seems to be somewhat scared to make the IRCCM of missiles better

iirc every single missile with IRCCM is underperforming in that regard due to balancing

The IIR seekers are not too bad to flare off. They’re dual band like Stingers in-game.

I don’t think their current implementation has anything to do with Gaijins hesitancy to add IIR missiles to planes

The Q&A and specifically the comments on the ARB EC mode and other game modes just proves how out of touch gaijin is with their own playerbase half the time.

Either that or they know what people want and choose to ignore it. Both are equally as likely at this point…

They are like Blizzard when people asked for Classic servers for WoW and Blizzard told them
“You think you want that, but you don’t”

It’s just Su-35
Nearly identical not really
Adapted to Chinese weapons

idk if it has yet, not seen any photos tbh

Would be a neat addition but im not really too hopeful for it since the addition of the MKM, a slightly better 30SM, lead to the SM2 being added so Russia retains the best flanker

I’d also just prefer a J-15 or 16 over it tbh

I thought the Su-35S was the production variant and the one China received

The Su-35 without a suffix being the prototype, otherwise known as the Su-27M

J-15T would be very nice - my most favourite Flanker :P

Maybe but it’s confusing, I do know the Russian variant and Chinese variant are different, even visually.

The Chinese variant uses BeiDou satellite navigation
It’s also has a modified datalink to include a bridge that allows it to communicate to KJ-500 and KJ-2000 AWACS.
Arsenal is different, R-73 and R-77 initially, supposedly it now has domestic weaponry.
The Irbis-E has export software whatever that means instead of the “full suite”.
