Aim-120D/ Pl-15 equivalent
Aim-174, Pl-17, Meteor equivalent
Aim-120D/ Pl-15 equivalent
Aim-174, Pl-17, Meteor equivalent
But yeah, pl-15e is good but not amazing. It doesn’t the greatest g pull at 40 gs, but it does have aesa, 2 way datalink and gnss.
I’m more interested in how much fin aoa gaijin gives it
What is the percentage difference of R-77-1 over the standard R-77? Atleast ingame version if irl versions are not known.
@ron_23 @KhorneFlakez1337
can we just get better maps first before getting these stupid long range missile.
cmon were using 60km maps for a 120km missile
sure we need that but we all know that it wont happen and that we will get those missiles anyways
Well, yeah, that should happen, but it’s not going to happen
I don’t even know if using something like the AIM-174 would make sense with the tiny maps we have
these is still a chance with the new mode that bvvd presented in the video
That mode is gonna use the same maps that we already have
The focus of that mode also is gonna be on strike/attack and defense missions similar to the test missions we had
I don’t know anything about the PL-17, but isn’t the Meteor closer to the AIM-120D and R-77M in terms of range?
So 200-240km Rmax? AIM-120D-3 from a high and fast F-22 could probably roughly match it in range then
i have seen ppl claiming a >250km range and with that i would put it to the Aim-174
especially since its launched from way better platforms
@Smin1080p_WT hey smin, general question. are the devs aware of the issues with the aim7f/m, getting chaffed so easily even in a perfect headon lock scenario?
is this a bug or wanted that way
iam just gonna go with what kizvy said
Highest claims I’ve seen for the Meteor were around 200km, which is slightly more than the AIM-120D
Both the AIM-174 and R-37M are claimed to have ranges of up to 400km
Oh, it was 2-3.5 and not 2.5-3, my bad.
So yeah it could be closer to AIM-120D or AIM-260 depending on how they do it then
Keep in mind though these r just requirements from 2006 for the izd-180/r-77m program. Who knows if the actual finished product actually met the requirements.
R-37 only gets that range on the Mig-31 that is already flying at mach jesus
and at the speeds we are dealing with in WT especially at mid altitudes ~5km, i wouldnt expect much more than 200km
Have AIM-260s even been testfired yet?
Fair
