Well saying people like top tier isn’t really the same as saying WW2 isn’t popular, I mean Spitfire’s, hellcats, Zeros, Mustangs like hello ?

Props has its audience sure but saying War Thunder isnt only top tier is also just not true theres lot of people who play only for modern equipment same as theres people who play only for WW2 equipment
People have been asking for lots of things, modern ships, more naval TTs, TTs for nations that barely have enough vehicles to fill a single column without subtrees (or ones that barely have any planes), a seperate Indian tech tree, etc
Most of those things are way more popular demands that still aren’t happening for one reason or another
Modern ships having the basic gameplay issue (ship to ship missile combat, a large amount of modern ships only having guns for air defence)
More naval TTs generally lacking incentive for Gaijin to work on them
Low vehicle count TTs being pretty much denied by Gaijin (Iirc they’ve mentioned that they don’t want another Israel)
The seperate Indian TT probably not happening because of Gaijin being extremely stubborn
And when looking at WW1 content, just like the naval TTs, there is a general lack of incentive for Gaijin to work on such content.
It would be a lot more effort than it is worth, the majority of players just doesn’t care about early WW2, interwar and WW1 content, most of them wouldn’t play it due to the gameplay.

The WW1 event shouldve been proof enough why it wouldnt work in WT imo it was super unbalanced

I don’t remember, it’s one of those things that have been repeated for a very long time, basically whenever people brought up wanting TTs for tiny nations
It definitely could be that they never said that, but on the other side, the way they added Israel was super unpopular and it would make sense for Gaijin to not want more TTs that
a) start at rank 3/4, making research a lot more annoying
and
b) lack vehicles to even create basic lineups

Other areas shouldn’t be neglected just because modern is more popular. People like what they like. There is still a very large amount of players that aren’t playing the most modern additions. And not everyone wants to play modern.
Just because the F-16 is more popular than the Sopwith Camel or the Eurofighter is more popular than the Fokker Dr.1 doesn’t mean they shouldn’t be added.

They already are neglecting the existing areas of the game.
Should it be like that? No.
Does Gaijn still focus on the “moneymakers”? Absolutely.
Again, when WW2 already isn’t that popular, what makes you think that WW1 would be popular enough for Gaijin to work on it?
I mean this was purely down to Gaijin just slapping them into the game with barely a second thought. The tanks would work perfectly with infantry seeing as that’s what they were actually designed for.
WW1 aircraft could very well work. Just give them appropriate BR’s to compensate for their performance and add some “buffer” 1919->interwar aircraft and they could be easily added. Or just give them a separate matchmaker to keep it WW1 vs WW1 if they don’t bother with earlier interwar aircraft.

You keep repeating this but WW2 IS popular. Not as popular as modern obviously but to say it isn’t popular is just plain wrong.
WW1 isn’t that popular in media but when Battlefield 1 released it was massive and still retained a large playerbase to this day. People just like WW1.
WW1 would still have plenty of players. Not everything that gets added needs to have millions of people playing it and be the most popular thing of all time. If this was the case then why would Gaijin bother adding anything else but modern equipment?

I mean a lot of people think that but most of the time a lot of people don’t get past this era because the grind is too long, WW1 would be nice to see but it would also add onto the grind making it longer
