Allat just to get graped but the MICA IR’s, idk about you guys, but I don’t look forward to those IR missiles, especially the MICA.
I still reckon they’ll be limited to LOBL, so range is mitigated by lock range and HOBS limited by gimball limit
I remember someone saying that the AIM-9X would be the only IIR missile with Data link which was funny
What I’m afraid of is another seeker advantage.
Meteors and other BVRAAM on more platforms, yes, give em, but one sided MICA IR doesn’t sound fun.
if that “guess” is to be believed 5th gens look to be coming in the first half of 2026 not really much time to add those “other variants” for most nations the current 14.3 will be their top tier jets with next gen IIR missiles
tbf the issue the rafale will have is close range, things like the R-74M, IRIST and even the 9X will out preform the Mica-IR or at the very least be more agile, so we will just have to see how its all modelled
I doubt much difference in seeker performance between any of the IIRs

I agree, that the typhoons should have a level of uniqueness among them, however it would be annoying having to grind millions upon millions of RP in an entirely different tech tree just to play the same airframe but with a different missile. It would be weird to see a German eft with asraam/British eft with Iris t, but it would be nice to try each other’s missiles.
idk the EFTs will just be given new missiles same with the gripen E i would imagine

China, russia and america are all getting 5th gens so we probably wont see the addition of next gen IIR missiles to any of their pre existing planes
israel and japan im not sure maybe israel will get that greek Rafale, which just leaves japan maybe a new F-2 with next gen missiles.?
I feel like that it’s much more likely that the US will get an F-22 and (if Gaijin is going to add newer missiles in that update) a newer variant of each nations top tier plane with newer missiles.
In a later update they’d add the F-35, Su-57 and J-20.
Overall I’m still skeptical when it comes to newer missiles. If I were you, I’d not hype myself up.
Gripen E isn’t even in game its some eqrly prototype the 2nd made that they are calling the E its not even slightly accurate model wise with all its problems. Guess we’ll get the actual Gripen E later cause apparently the Gripen E is too powerful gotta wait till 5th gen jets for the Gripen E to be Balanced

Yes, I have seen the “educated guesses” list.
Those are plans for this year, not a “this is how its going to happen guaranteed” list
We’ll have to see if that’s actually what happens or if their plans change.
Realistically it makes a lot more sense to roll out the J-20 and Su-57 with the F-35s together, rather than adding the F-35s later.
As for the next gen missiles, chances are that they are going to be gimped to hell, which is why I said that I wouldn’t get my hopes up.
