Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

I have always found ATGMs annoying to use so I have no reason to ever play any ATGM carrier when it releases, but yeah the M1134 is probably the coolest looking option for the US.

LAV-ATM seems fine, but LAV-AT seems very meh.

You can find such jeeps with atgms or recoilless rifles for basically every nation. UAZ for USSR (and WP nations), Fiat Campagnola for Italy, Willys for USA, Mitsubishi Type 73 for Japan and etc:

Not sure how to balance them though)

Problem is, can you find any with both?

ATGMs and Recoilless rifle simultaneously on a single vehicle? Not sure.

I just had a thought, could the introduction of rank IX air be a good opportunity for them to rework the tech tree ?

“We would like to draw attention to the fact that the F/A-18E Super Hornet and other jets for USA, USSR, China and Sweden that are coming in Line of Contact means there are four vehicles at rank VIII vertically for these nations, which is something we said we would not do. This will only be temporary as we would like to confirm that in early 2026 we’ll be introducing rank IX for aircraft, which aims to solve this problem by moving some rank VIII aircraft to rank IX along with some economic changes. However, until then, you can still use aircraft at rank VII to effectively research the new top-tier jets released in the Line of Contact major update. Stay tuned for more news coming in the next few months!”

I mean think about it Rank IX, Tech tree rework and Swiss Ground forces and all of this to be planned for early 2026

I remember Grov the store guy told us a while ago that Germany was the most played nation in game so making a reworked tree around them first along with an introduction of a ground sub tree could make sense

I don’t expect much from rank IX ground at all lol.

Do you remember rank VIII ground?

Still half awake lmao but you get what I’m trying to say though

Just an opportunity for them to sell more expensive premiums.

Oh yeah I do get what you are saying, however I still don’t think they’ll put any significant effort in any way into rank IX ground.

In terms of the swiss line, a lot of their MBTs at least can still be placed in the Leopard 2K. And they can reshuffle Germany rank V-VII in such a way to make it both more efficient and make space for Switzerland at those BRs.

I mean sure but that’s rather a lot of work, it would be easier to add a horizontal scroll and add that 6th line. But given we don’t know how many tanks will be added we just have to see

If the rework is what I hope it is this is very likely. They’d need to do it one at a time since they would need to add essentially a new research tree instead of just some vehicles here and there.

It makes sense to do this for a new subtree to establish it, then go back for others later.

Yeah, could be why the Korea’s are undecided yet again since whoever get’s them now can get them in the main tech tree since a 6th can now be possible.

Wait this is about a 6th line?

Nothing official just my thoughts since it lines up with the two subtrees of the Swiss and Singapore and the rework techtrees

I think moving a bunch of vehicles to different lines is a lot less work than completely reworking how tech trees work lol.

Kpz-70 & Leopard 2K can move to the main Leopard line and the M48 super can move into a folder with the M48A2GA2.

Boom, lot of space created.

Still the same old question though isn’t it, “Why have X here instead of a domestic option”, I like to believe the people who screamed about the state of the British ground tree have gave gaijin such a headache lol

Well so far Singapore doesn’t seem like a subtree, so the only subtree in the “guess” is Swiss ground.

Personally I still have a bit of hope this could mean a proper rework. With only one subtree this could be reasonably introduced.

I’m all for a 6th line, but not as a makeshift fix for subtrees. There’s enough nations needing this even without a subtree already.

Which is why I think a horizontal scroll bar or a collapsible premium section would be a gaijin move

I think the current M48/Leo 2K line is pretty dead for Germany anyway. At most some east german vehicles could be added or some premium Leo 2s, but the PSO has shown that the latter won’t always go to the 2K line.

So yeah Swiss ground MBTs really make no difference there.

EDIT: Also I don’t think Switzerland offers much above 10.7 in terms of MBTs.

This is like an anti-Gaijin thing to do lol. There is no way they are ever making one of their main sources of income collapsible.

The swiss offer a addition to the much need 8.x-10.x lineup which is a far better trade then strictly just top tier
