The last time ARB EC was available definitely was before I started playing lol
While its certainly too early for the late CR3 prototypes, maybe gaijin could have cooked up one of the early ones shown in early 2024. It would be very nice to get a Challenger 3 with the actual improved armour (as well as working blowout panels, spall liners and other changes), even if it is missing the addons we now know about.

The CH3TDs 3D model still doesn’t match up to the actual damage model lmao
That would be good, but what we have right now is essentially just a Challenger 2 with a new gun as its the tech demonstrator. But yes, the “Challenger 3TD” is modelled horribly ingame, the DM and 3D model don’t even fit together. The mantlet only being 30mm is also a complete joke considering the TOGS system has been removed, which was the only thing taking up space there before.
As you can see the wiring for the TOGS took up space in the Challenger 2, but now its gone, there is no reason for that space to be empty. On the prototype Challenger 3’s it appears to be solid now, so I think the Challenger 3TD should be the same.
I’d like to ideally see it be renamed to the “Challenger 2 ATD” which is its real name, and then get some of the real Challenger 3 prototypes added.

With the decompression, i am wondering if we’ll see new 12.7/13.0 tanks. Not a lot of other options for Britain. Though whether it will just be a CR3TD with a few badly added new things. Is unknown
I don’t think there is a need for a new 12.7 tank for Britain
13.0/13.3 tanks would be a possibility, but that would require a lot of tech demonstrators to be modelled
Britain could always get the 130mm Challenger 2, but yeah in terms of domestic stuff the Challenger 3 is the only real option.

Given we dont really have one, neither the BN or 2E are good enough to be 12.7. I think we are more in need of one than most. We have yet to get anything even close to the Leopard 2s or M1A2s
Well, it would be a 3TD with reinforced turret armour as well as an autoloaded 130mm cannon.
So it would likely go down to 3 crew due to the autoloader, with the 130mm gun providing extremely good firepower as well as potentially an even faster fire rate.
The 130mm shells are huge
As long as the 2A7s and Strv 122s exist any nation with no counterpsrts to these needs a new 12.7 MBT.

3 crew members due to the automatic loader + the Cr2 armor configuration with almost certainly placed shells in the turret will likely make this unit much worse in the game than many expecting

China, Italy and Israel only have a single 12.7 tank each and you are definitely overhyping the Abrams
Almost all NATO autoloaded tanks have shells located in the turret bustle, it dosen’t seem to be a huge issue for them
does it have better turret armour? Thought htat was just a mockup like we have the Chefitain 900?
Autoloader is interesting, but I doubt it would be any faster than 6 seconds. 5 if we were lucky.
But fair on the shell maybe actually being better, thought I recalled something about it probably only being a bit of a sidegrade, but that might be very wrong
