So we solved the problem, the BR is the problem and you were blaming the MiG-23 this whole time. Now let’s suppose a real-life combat where there is no BR. If a MiG-23 met you in a Sea Harrier, do you think a Sea Harrier would win? Probably not. So the problem is the BR, not the MiG-23.
And I wonder who will use a MiG-25 in simulated battles, the least of the problems would be seeing a MiG-25 in ASB.
If the R-24Ts weren’t so good for surprise launches at long range, I’d actually use R-13M1s on those rails
I usually don’t even bother with R-24Rs, never really getting good launches with those (maybe I just don’t use them right tho lol)
Sea Harriers won against Mirage IRL so why not also against MiG-23s?

Hey that’s given me the thought, the MiG-25 might actually be pretty good for chasing down those AI targets that go Mach 6 which the devs refuse to fix.

R-24R’s are almost always 2 guranteed kills, at least from my experience with the ML, I never fire those past 10km because the radar loses track so easily and has a tall unprecise scan box to re-target.
That said, sub 10km they can utilise IOG pretty well I’d say, they do a pretty good job at still hitting the target.
I only never fire those against more maneuverable jets, since those can make them bleed so much speed just by turning.

Again, give me 1 reason why the Mig-23MLD should be 11.7 and not 12.0.
Well you say that… Sea Harrier beat the F-5E in 1v1 combat at a ratio of 7:1 and the F-15A in 2v2 combat at a ratio of 3:1
So If we had IRL performance harriers… Mig-23 would probably actually be toast. But we dont.
It doesnt matter if we are talking about ARB or ASB. There is no reason for a Mach 3 capable aircraft with R-60Ms and potentailly quite powerful SARH should be below 12.0. Especially given the state of multiple 12.0 aircraft at the moment. If the only valid excuse is “it would be unfair vs 13.0s”, then every. single. 12.0 aircraft, needs to be at 11.7
Once again, i’d be more worried about the mach 3 irst launching giant long range fox 2s.
