Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

Hmmm…I thought yesterday that BVD claimed that premiums are not better than tech tree versions and are watered down versions. How is this watered down from the tech tree hawks? Similar to how the click bait is obviously watered down?

Before it is mentioned, I feel an excuse about “well this is a different nation (with no tech tree option), so it is ok.” That does not seem to meet the intent of the BVD statement in my opinion, but whatever.

British Hawks can have Aim-9L’s, which are superior to Aim-9P-4’s plus they can take more Mavs

So slight plus with gun pod but less with slight missile difference and number of mavericks. Got it. Wonder how the BR placements will align and how that will impact use? Will the premium be lower BR do you think possibly putting it in a better place than the tech tree ones?

Appreciate your insights in helping me understand this. Thank you.

Can you also help me understand the clickbait too? I know that is not in this update so outside this thread, but since you answered here. Appreciate it.

which means the Hawk 209 will be a lower BR with better MAV which makes it better not to mention getting the gun pod after being told the hawk 200 couldn’t fit it

Seeing how the Thai Alpha Jet ks 10.7 with Aim-9P-4’s, Indonesian Hawk wouldnt be any lower. Plus the British Hawk 200 does have guns, just not the RDA

Hey. As others have already pointed out, its this fairing bulge on the 200 RDA thats not present on the 209.

It directly interferes with the gunpod

This would explain why there are no photos of the RDA with a gunpod. As we already said, we welcome evidence of the RDA with a gunpod / guns for consideration.

It doesn’t, but we’re thinking about suitable options for the next year.

in regards to the Hawk 209 RWR, does it have the basic one or the upgraded SEER RWR?

Also possibly less missiles. Hawk 209 only has confirmed wingtip missiles, so that might mean it’s limited to two, or they make it four assuming it can do the same as the Hawk 208 it’s based on (which carries two more missiles on the outer wing pylon). Or I guess they might decide to leave it at six like the Hawks in game.

They seem undecided, only said “several” on the store page but detailed the number of all other ordnance. They also only showed two in the images.

With the amount of max rank premiums coming in, are we going to see a cut in the costst of these vehicles?
E.g. cutting the costst from 80 euro’s to 60, and 70 euro’s to 53 euro’s?
Because currently, it’s just tó expensive for most of the community, cutting the costst might result into more overall sales.

Thanks! I am sure it is hard for folks to pre-order with so many unknowns. (Or maybe not if they really love it I guess). The Dev server will reveal all (or most).

BVVD was talking about highest BR tech-tree vehicles with best characteristics in a given nation.

That would be amazing and mind blowing unexpected I would think.

Does clickbait fall into that category?

Also, that means non-highest br premium versions can be superior to tech tree vehicles and the watered down comment does not apply?

For starters this one exists and has been launched. Doesn’t really matter too much, but it’s also in service

No. The prices are tied to the rank of the premium since it directly affects its research effectiveness (and also SL/RP bonuses). Their number has nothing to do with costs, you don’t have to purchase all of them anyway.

The M1A1 Click bait isn’t the best vehicle in the US tree though, hell it’s mostly just a copy and pase of the normal HC but with some niche features missing.

This is assuming that the clickbait you mentioned was talking about the vehicle.

they are near identical and spear glide was denied on range and number carried so the same things GBU53s would be denied on

Sounds like a Closed Beta Test is coming.

Given what we know about the upcoming update, this is either Infantry or Submarines.
