Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

Do I really need to break this down? Fine, let’s simplify it.

In the short term, the system is unbalanced, the focus should be on the four nations that generate the highest revenue for the company. These “big four” deserve priority, while the smaller nations can be gradually filled out over time. The primary emphasis remains on maximizing the impact of the top contributors, which are clearly USSR, Germany, USA and United Kingdom.

From a business standpoint if something you had in stock was selling out, you wouldn’t buy something completely different and expect the same result, you would re-stock the same product and continue to make profit

And if you’d actually read further back into the discussion instead of jumping in without the full context, you’d know we already covered this. We talked about the United Kingdom having more vehicles than other smaller nations, and I was pointing out that the UK’s position as part of the Commonwealth reinforces why it belongs among the top four.

Its actually logical, they don’t just throw them anywhere, its planned out.

Hence the commonwealth for the United Kingdom

Used rather than, commonwealth tanks, planes, boats, and ships (just a simplified version)

Long Term stability is important for the Company, showcased in the explanation for the Big Four Countries, without a main source of income, the “other less developed nations” would not have the funds to be outsourced and brought to the game, two different angles can work together you know, that’s my train of thought regarding the matter

You seem to be missing how available resources are for Gaijin. When a vehicle gets added, they have the ability to copypaste and/or adjust it wherever possible/necessary.

Like @xPorkulusx said, this analogy breaks down with WT due to the environment and context it exists in. WT does not have limited resources like a real world company in that, like I said earlier, they can copypaste things with minimal changes to improve each nation’s resources.

Some “investments” take more than others, like adding entirely new airframes. But once that initial hump is crossed, it enters Gaijin’s library of resources that they can minimally invest in to improve/grow other nations’ TTs.

This is why China, for example, has been receiving minimally updated vehicles like the J-11B, Mirage 2000-5Ei, Z-10ME, AH-64E, etc. and will continue to receive such vehicles. That’s not to say they’re 100% copypaste, but Gaijin clearly builds upon other vehicles that have already been added. The UK can obviously benefit from this too, especially with India. But for that Gaijin has given us a “not for now” response.

It’s just important to remember this is not exclusive to the UK and the Commonwealth. It goes for all nations.

Copy and paste content isn’t enough to keep players interested.

Keeping the game fresh is key, For the developers to bring in outside 3D model makers to create new vehicles they need Funds / Investment.

Fresh models aren’t made a the flick of a switch, they take time, research, they give players something new to enjoy and stop the game from feeling stale.

Long-time players know that without real additions, people lose interest, but with new vehicles the game stays alive and engaging, The Four Big Countries generate the most income for Gaijin, so why would you stop developing for them, you wouldn’t, that’s why they get the majority and the other nations at least get one or two a patch.

I feel bad for players who only stick to one nation or worse, one tech tree, because they notice problems much more (This bring one of them)

If you play across several nations, those issues don’t stand out as much

I’m well aware of other nations issues as you can see i play all nations, it never gets stale and if i get burned out on one game mode i just go to another, id rather play catch up and not worry what vehicle is needed on what nation, i just grind the lowest RP vehicle to the highest, every patch

To answer your Question Above "People where discussing the United Kingdom specifically, the commonwealth and why the united kingdom has more vehicles then “insert smaller nation name here - For Example”

It’s fair to assume that the bulk of Gaijin’s War Thunder revenue, probably around 58% comes from the “Big Four” categories. In practice, that means planes, tanks, helicopters, and ships/boats, roughly in that order.

Air and ground forces dominate because they’re the most accessible and widely played.

Just for reference, here is a list of how many vehicles each nation received this year according to the update list on the Wiki
