The Su-27SM’s engines in-game already produce a notably higher TWR than those engines.
F-18E struggles with the same fate.
Unfortunately no SM2 has those engines yet, they are planned, but not installed on any airframe as far as we know.
For now the SM2 would bring better rwr antennas, improved BARS and R-37M’s.
Su35 is the real one to go for, if they add it ofc.
It’s about 2 tons heavier though isn’t it, so how much of a buff would the extra thrust be to TWR of Su-35
The su35? Empty weight is 19t according to multiple sources, that makes it 200kg heavier than the su30sm we have rn at best (18800kg).
The 19t figure doesn’t specify if khibiny pods are included tho. Those alone could take away 400kg from the airframe.
So to answer your question, yeah the thrust increase is nice, basically a faster su30sm but with better electronics.

Still waiting on Su-37. Damn, why Snail added Su-30MK2 and not this beauty? (Well, besides that 90% of it future/possible to be users gonna crash while trying to use thrust vectoring/maneuver mode)

Losing the canards would be a shame, but i’d like to see how TVC behaves without that stabilising force

For stability, yeah probably, for airframe drag it’s gonna be a lil better I guess.
But the Su35 still manages to look pretty stable during tvc maneuvers, IRL that is.
I’ll pass, the Yak-141 was less dubious than the Su-37, we’re probably better off seeing an early Su-35/Su-27M since they had canards iirc

The majority of the additions to Japan have been C&P models with stat changes. Like the F-5A, AV-8, F-8, Alpha jet, M163, M60TTS, etc…
All with all, Japan got 4 new vehicles, the Super Tigris, Oplot, stingray and the F-2A - from which both the stingray and oplot can already be played in other TT’s. (Not counting boats, these are all unique)
Japan is in dire need for DOMESTIC aircraft and tanks. Also for more diverce Thai vehicles, not just the American Import, like the Bronco, VN-1C etc…
