Next Major Update - Rumor Round-Up & Discussion

Takes the lengthened IFV version and adds a main gun (like 105mm) to it making it into a light tank :P

Wouldn’t have to, ASCOD can already take up to a 120mm

Yeah. Though at the same time. Grinding through a dozen like for like vehicles does get quite dry. Especially when they add a minor variant instead of something wholey new.

like I said, needs to be a balancing act.

this is so depressing as all of those british additions are things I actually want :(

its a mix of the MoD constantly changing the requirements of the programme and reliability issues from what I know

Ajax isn’t an IFV FYI
Currently we don’t really have one? The original plan was to upgun Warrior to the CTA40, but fundamentally that programme had issues, so was dropped with the intent of opening a new IFV tender, they just haven’t got round to it as they’re wanting to get this current set of procurements done and do some procedural changes before they open a new tender. Hasn’t stopped GD and such creating options e.g. GD’s lengthend Ajax with a new LMUK CTA40 + ATGM turret.

GD's recently announced Ajax IFV

Only Ascod ive seen was the one that trialed in Norge against the 9030

I dont think we ever looked at them here in Denmark

werent the us looking into ascod as a replacement for the bradly

I mean yeah? KF-41 vs an ASCOD 2 variant called Griffin III iirc, no idea where that programme is though, haven’t heard anything in a hot minute

my first experinces with the Sky sabre is that.

One. gaijin need to remove multi path on these modern missiles it makes zero sense and just helps completely negate the spaa

Two. helicopters need to have their rotors modelled so that ARH missiles can actually see them and they arent just invisible

Three. they need to drastically rework the damage models of the recon mircos it shouldn’t on average take 7 CAMMs to kill a single recon micro flying more then a 1km in the air at a distance of 1.7km, the amount of times it has proxied and just done zero damage is stupid

i second all of this

Ill admit i play top tier to mess with spaa, ill fly around them while too close for them to shoot me down lol

Am i the only one that would not care if they didnt add anything in the next update? (I’ll explain)

I’m not sure if anyone remembers Operation Health in R6 back in 2017 (only example i can think of) where for three months they basically stopped adding anything new, and focused on improving the game itself. This included server fix and reworks, and patching issues and bugs with gameplay etc. Every update it feels like WT just gets more and more unstable and inconsistant with everything from so many bugs (pretty much a common feature of every major update gaijin push) to constant fps drops every game whether in ground or arb for no reason.

It would allow gaijin to actually look at whats wrong with whats already in the game (inconsistant hits, magical ghost shells which is still somehow a thing, optimisation etc) so that it just gives an actual better experience.

Yep. its why i’ve given up trying to spade it. Its non-functional currently

There is also a more CAS oriented R1/B variant

Yeah Ive done a few concept trees, the Swedish bluewater fleet would be pretty filled even without paper ships, the only problem would be that there are no ships that can reach the true top tiers, youd never face any Iowas or Yamatos when playing the tree, though in my opinion thats not really necessary.

Still on the topic of paper additions, i don’t think there are many paper ships that can be added with Gaijins current rules, i.e laid down as a minimum. The closest youd get is the one pansarskepp design that was ordered but cancelled before being laid down. The navy couldn’t afford to go forward with projects that might not pay off.

Anyways, this is my current bluewater concept version:

Bluewater fleet

Swedish tech tree

Currently holds Swedish, Finnish, Chilean and Colombian ships. The br’s are flexible as Im not that good at determining those. (Also i am aware of the Oden class ships reload rate, since firerate is something Gaijin often changes for balance reasons, i added them with an artificial buff in mind.) Also the Thörnell capping the 3rd line is the one paper ship in the tree, ordered but never laid down.
